Following the invitation to perform during the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Moving-Up Ceremony for School Year 2025โ€“2026, the Baguio City National High School Color Cadets conducted the Entrance and Exit of Colors on July 4, 2026. The ceremony celebrated the dedication, perseverance, and achievements of the ALS completers as they marked another milestone in their educational journey.

To ensure the successful ex*****on of the ceremony, the cadets underwent a one-day practice prior to the event, allowing them to review formations, ceremonial procedures, and coordination. The activity was successfully carried out, and the cadets performed their duties with discipline and teamwork throughout the moving up ceremony. Their dedication to preparation and teamwork reflected the values of discipline, commitment, and professionalism, setting an example for future cadets to uphold the traditions of the organization and one day lead with honor as the next generation of officers.

In support of the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), the Baguio City National High School community actively participated in the nationwide preparedness activity. Students, teachers and staffs took part in the exercise to strengthen disaster awareness and emergency response capabilities within the school.

During the drill, participants properly executed the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure and followed designated evacuation routes in an orderly manner. The Color Cadets assisted in crowd management by guiding students toward safe assembly areas and forming a human barrier along the roadside to prevent students from entering areas exposed to vehicular traffic. Their presence helped maintain order and ensured the safety of participants throughout the activity.


The successful conduct of the drill highlighted BCHS's commitment to promoting safety, discipline, and preparedness. It also gave the Color Cadets an opportunity to apply their training and demonstrate their dedication to serving the school community.

Following the invitation to perform during the Graduation Ceremony of Baguio College of Technology, the Color Cadet Corps of Baguio City High School conducted the Entrance and Exit of Colors at the Baguio Convention Center. The activity was carried out successfully as the cadets executed the ceremonial movements in an orderly and coordinated manner, contributing to the formal atmosphere of the program.

The Color Guards remained composed throughout the ceremony and properly performed their assigned duties from the opening to the closing of the event. Through discipline, teamwork, and commitment to service, the BCHS Color Cadets were able to represent their school and organization with pride and professionalism, reflecting the values expected of every Color Cadet and showcasing the capability of BCHS cadets in supporting significant events within the community. Their excellent performance truly showed what it means to be a proud BCHS cadet.

Service Through Leadership: Enrollment Assistance and Campus Safety Operations โ€“ June 1, 2026

Following the conduct of the BCNHS Enrollment for School Year on 2026-2027 June 1, 2026, the Color Cadets were assigned to assist in maintaining order and ensuring the smooth flow of students and parents throughout the enrollment process.

Throughout the activity, the cadets remained vigilant and responsive to the needs of enrollees and school personnel. By maintaining order, assisting with crowd control, and promoting safety within the campus, the unit contributed to an organized and efficient enrollment process. The activity reflected the cadets' commitment to discipline, service, and leadership, reminding them that true leadership is best demonstrated through selfless service to others.

This rank is not merely a title, but a testament to enduring discipline, unwavering commitment, and the resilience forged through rigorous training and demanding circumstances. I am Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Amolar Elias Jophen from the Bagwis-Tanglaw Class, 2025-2026. Before joining the SHS Color Cadets, I had prior similar experiences in JHS Color Cadets and BSP, however nothing could have prepared me for the training I had experienced in becoming a fully fledged officer of the SHS Color Cadets.

My journey was filled with hardships that served as a catalyst for my improvement. Although it was difficult, I managed to overcome adversities with the help of the people who stayed by me and made me push my limits.

And now that I am officially signing off as the Lieutenant Colonel of BCHS SHS Color Cadets, I can now give way to future generations inorder for them to show discipline, integrity, and responsibility towards their schoolmates.

Some days I feel like quitting, but I remind myself that even the strongest dreams are built on the days I chose to keep going.
There were times when everything seemed heavy, when my goals were overshadowed by my concerns and my progress appeared to be slow. There were moments when it seemed simpler to give up than to keep going. However, I've discovered that comfort is not the place for progress. It occurs in the silent conflicts I have with myself, when I decide to get back up even when no one else is around.
Every obstacle, every setback, and every failure is a part of my journey. They are lessons that are making me stronger, wiser, and better equipped for the future rather than warning me to quit. Results don't always appear as quickly as I would want, and the route isn't always plain, but as long as I keep going, I know I'm getting closer.
My dreams werenโ€™t built overnight. They are built through patience, discipline, and the courage to continue despite uncertainty. Itโ€™s about choosing to believe in myself, even on the days I feel lost.
So when things get hard, I take a deep breath and keep going. One step is enough. One effort is enough. I just refuse to stop.
Because one day, Iโ€™ll look back and realize that the days I almost gave up were the days that made me.
