The Municipal Civil Registry Office (MCRO) of Baler actively participated in the Day 2 of the 5th National Convention on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS), featuring discussions on “Innovate to Register: Modernizing Civil Registration Services”, “Smart Governance: Harnessing Vital Statistics for Effective Public Service.” and "The Most Innovative Local Civil Registry Office Contest."

The final session highlighted the awarding ceremony where the MCRO of LGU Baler, under the administration of Mayor Rhett Angara, received:

The Municipal Civil Registry Office (MCRO) of Baler participated in the 5th National Convention on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) held on 06 October 2026 at the PSA Headquarters, Quezon City.

Day 1 featured discussions on the launching of the Electronic Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (eCRVS) System, regional and international cooperation, inclusive and resilient CRVS initiatives, emerging issues concerning undocumented Filipinos, innovative strategies for accessible birth registration, registration of Muslim marriages, and legal and administrative concerns involving adoption, surrogacy, and foundlings under Philippine law.

The activity provided valuable insights and strengthened the commitment of the MCRO Baler to delivering inclusive, accessible, and responsive civil registration services, leaving no one behind.

The Municipal Civil Registry Office (MCRO) of Baler participated in the 3rd Quarterly Meeting of the Joint Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC) and Municipal Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (MCAT-VAWC).

The meeting served as a venue to discuss important matters and strengthen the municipality’s continuing efforts to protect children and promote the safety and welfare of women and their children.
