CAMP RAVINA, Baler, Aurora - Demonstrating tactical excellence, teamwork, and operational readiness, the Aurora Police Provincial Office (APPO) successfully conducted the 1st SWAT Challenge 2026 on June 5, 2026, at APPO Provincial Headquarters, Camp Ravina, Baler, Aurora, led by PCOL PERCIVAL R PINEDA, Acting Provincial Director.

The event officially commenced with an Opening Program held at the APPO Conference Room, attended by participating SWAT personnel from the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), and Provincial Headquarters. The challenge aimed to showcase the participants' tactical skills, discipline, teamwork, and operational readiness while embodying the Philippine National Police mantra of โ€œSerbisyong Mabilis.โ€

Throughout the competition, participating teams underwent a series of physically demanding obstacle course challenges designed to test their endurance, agility, coordination, and teamwork. The event also featured a shooting challenge at the firing range, where participants demonstrated their marksmanship, precision, and tactical proficiency under pressure.

The SWAT Challenge served as a valuable venue for enhancing the operational capabilities, professionalism, and preparedness of Aurora PPO personnel in responding to various law enforcement and public safety situations. It likewise fostered camaraderie, discipline, healthy competition, and a culture of excellence among the participating units.

In his message, PCOL PINEDA emphasized the importance of continuous training and capability enhancement among police personnel, noting that activities such as the SWAT Challenge strengthen the readiness of officers to effectively respond to emergencies and security threats while maintaining the highest standards of public service.

Through initiatives like the 1st SWAT Challenge 2026, Aurora PPO continues to invest in the development of its personnel, ensuring a highly capable, disciplined, and mission-ready police force dedicated to safeguarding the people of Aurora.

The conference was attended physically by the Command Group, Provincial Staff (P-Staff), Chiefs of Police (COPs), and EOD/K9 personnel, while National Support Units (NSUs) joined virtually.

The Aurora Police Provincial Office (APPO), under the leadership of PCOL PERCIVAL R PINEDA, Acting Provincial Director, participated in the Regional Enhanced Managing Police Operations (E-MPO) Conference via online platform, presided over by the Acting Director for Regional Director's Office (DRDO) on June 3, 2026.

The activity was attended and led by the Deputy Provincial Director for Operations (DPDO) PLTCOL FRITZ L TABULA together with the Provincial Quad Staff, Administrative and Functional Chiefs (AFCs), and Chiefs of Police (COPs) from the different municipal police stations of Aurora Province.

The conference served as a venue to assess operational accomplishments, discuss current peace and order and public safety concerns, strengthen coordination among units, and align strategies with the directives and priorities of the Philippine National Police.
