𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫

On August 19, 2026, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) successfully conducted the 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 to 𝐬𝐢𝐱 (𝟔) 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 in various barangays of the Municipality of Balo-i under the 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐏). This activity was actively facilitated and assisted by the Local Government Unit of Balo-i through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

Spearheaded by the DOLE – Lanao del Norte Provincial Field Office (DOLE-X LDNPFO) led by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐎. 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨, the turnover was carried out with the essential on-the-ground coordination and support of PESO Balo-i. This reflects the continuing partnership between the two offices in bringing national livelihood assistance closer to the community and supporting their efforts to establish sustainable sources of income.

The beneficiaries received livelihood projects suited to their respective enterprises. Balo-i Lake Agri-Business Association, Balo-i River Agri-Business Association, and Mamaanun Women's and Lightness Association received packages for 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐖𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥. Balo-i Star Agri-Business Association and Balo-i Moon Agri-Business Association received 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐄𝐠𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, while Balo-i Falls Agri-Business Association received 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬.

Through the 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐏), beneficiaries are provided with livelihood assistance to strengthen their income-generating capacity and support sustainable self-employment. Beyond establishing livelihood enterprises, the assistance encourages association members to strengthen unity, cooperation, and teamwork within their respective organizations, while creating additional income opportunities for their families and contributing to economic activity within their communities. The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to DOLE for the opportunity and trust extended to their associations.

As the local employment and livelihood facilitation arm of the municipality, PESO Balo-i proudly assists DOLE in connecting constituents to these vital programs. Through continued coordination, monitoring, and support for the beneficiaries, PESO remains committed to ensuring that DOLE's livelihood interventions are successfully implemented and given the local support needed to grow and become sustainable.

The 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨-𝐢, through its 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐏𝐄𝐒𝐎), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment – Lanao del Norte Provincial Field Office (𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄-𝐗 𝐋𝐃𝐍 𝐏𝐅𝐎), successfully conducted the 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 for 𝟏𝟏𝟓 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 under the 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐏) on August 5, 2026, at the Datu Timbul Ali Training Center, Municipal Complex, Nangka, Balo-i, Lanao del Norte.

The participants were composed of 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 (𝟕) 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 and 𝐨𝐧𝐞 (𝟏) 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲. Throughout the training, they were equipped with essential knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage, operate, and sustain their livelihood projects.

The learning sessions were facilitated by Livelihood Development Specialists, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐜 and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐚, covering 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐏 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲, 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 (𝐎𝐒𝐇) 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. These topics were designed to strengthen the beneficiaries' capacities in financial management, record-keeping, workplace safety, and access to essential government services which are key components in building sustainable and resilient livelihood enterprises.

Participants actively engaged in the discussions by raising questions, sharing insights, and participating in the simple bookkeeping workshop, reflecting their enthusiasm to apply the knowledge and skills gained to their respective livelihood ventures.

To further support their learning, the participants also received training kits, providing them with essential materials to assist them throughout the training and in their future livelihood activities.

Through initiatives like this, 𝐏𝐄𝐒𝐎 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨-𝐢 continues to strengthen its partnership with 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄 in empowering livelihood beneficiaries through capacity-building programs that promote entrepreneurship, responsible enterprise management, and sustainable community development.

On August 1, 2026, the Municipality of Balo-i successfully concluded the celebration of the 𝟕𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨-𝐢 through its Culmination Program, held under the inspiring theme "𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬." As the grand finale of the municipality's founding anniversary, the occasion brought together local leaders, government agencies, partner institutions, and the Balo-i community in honoring the municipality's rich cultural heritage, celebrating its unity, and reaffirming its shared commitment to a more progressive future.

Anchored on this year's theme, "𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬," the Parade served as a symbolic expression of the municipality's commitment to preserving its cultural heritage, strengthening unity among its people, and advancing a shared vision for sustainable development.

As the opening activity of the Culmination Program, the Parade set the tone for the day's celebration, showcasing the collective spirit, camaraderie, and enduring partnership among government agencies, institutions, and the people of Balo-i.

As part of the celebration of the 𝟕𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨-𝐢, the Local Government Unit of Balo-i successfully conducted the 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 on July 31, 2026, at the Municipal Ground, Nangka, Balo-i, Lanao del Norte.

The activity gathered community members, local officials, municipal employees, and other stakeholders in a meaningful discussion on Islamic teachings and values. 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐡 𝐈𝐬𝐚 𝐈𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐦, the resource speaker, shared inspiring reminders on strengthening one's faith, promoting peace, fostering unity, and living a life guided by compassion and righteousness.

The seminar served as an opportunity for participants to gain beneficial knowledge, reflect on the teachings shared, and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood within the community.

The Local Government Unit of Balo-i extends its sincere gratitude to Sheikh Isa Ibrahim, the organizers, and everyone who participated in making the activity a success. May the lessons learned continue to inspire us in building a peaceful, united, and God-centered Balo-i.

As part of the ongoing celebration of the 𝟕𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐨-𝐢, the Local Government Unit of Balo-i is currently conducting the 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 at the Municipal Ground, Nangka, Balo-i, Lanao del Norte.

The seminar features 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐡 𝐈𝐬𝐚 𝐈𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐦 as the resource speaker, who is sharing meaningful teachings and valuable insights that strengthen faith, deepen understanding of Islam, and inspire participants to uphold the values of peace, unity, compassion, and righteousness.

A new chapter in accessible and quality healthcare begins for the Municipality of Balo-i as the 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 (𝐒𝐇𝐂) was formally turned over on July 30, 2026.

This milestone was made possible through the leadership of 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐢, and the dedicated efforts of 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 (𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫) 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐨 𝐀𝐥𝐢, and 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐫. The newly completed Super Health Center will bring essential healthcare services closer to the people by providing outpatient consultations, birthing services, laboratory diagnostics such as X-ray and ultrasound, pharmacy services, ambulatory surgical care, and other primary healthcare services. This facility will greatly benefit residents, particularly those from far-flung barangays, by making quality medical care more accessible.

The Local Government Unit of Balo-i extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Health, partner agencies, stakeholders, and everyone who contributed to making this project a reality. Together, we continue to build a healthier, stronger, and more resilient Balo-i—one that prioritizes the well-being of every constituent.
