July 14, 2026, Bangui Institute of Technology hosted a financial literacy lecture at the Learning Resource Center, attended by faculty, staff, and trainees of the said school.

The session aimed to improve financial knowledge and skills among participants, emphasizing the importance of sound financial practices. The presentation was led by a knowledgeable representative from Rang-ay Bank, who shared valuable insights on managing finances, savings, and banking services. The event was a success, fostering a greater understanding of financial concepts and encouraging responsible financial behavior among everyone present.

It was a productive and informative gathering that contributed to the institute’s ongoing efforts to promote financial literacy.

In his special message, Dr. Carlos B. Carizal, Vocational School Administrator I, emphasized the importance of discipline and financial management. He encouraged everyone to remember that money and discipline should always go hand in hand to achieve success and responsible living.

BANGUI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY- June 12, 2026, the spirit of patriotism and environmental stewardship came alive as the 128th Independence Day Celebration was successfully held at Bangui Institute of Technology, bringing together Tesda Ilocos Norte officials, technical-vocational institutions, and community partners in a meaningful commemoration of the nation's freedom and progress.

The event was graced by TESDA Ilocos Norte, led by Provincial Director Sharon S. Estigoy, whose presence underscored TESDA's commitment to empowering communities through quality technical-vocational education and skills development. ,Tesda Training Institution, Marcos Agro-Industrial School and the Provincial Training Center-Banna, representatives from various Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) across the province participated in the celebration, alongside the host institution, Bangui Institute of Technology, headed by Dr. Carlos B. Carizal, Vocational School Administrator I. Their collective participation demonstrated unity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to promoting excellence in workforce development.

As part of the celebration, participants took part in a tree-planting activity, symbolizing not only the nation's enduring growth and resilience but also a shared responsibility to protect and preserve the environment for future generations. The activity highlighted the importance of sustainable development and environmental conservation as vital components of nation-building.

May 11, 2026 | Bangui Institute of Technology conducted Training Induction Program for Organic Agriculture Production NC II at Learning Resource Center, BIT, Manayon, Bangui, Ilocos Norte.

This program aimed to orient trainees about the different scholarship programs offered by TESDA and the institution. Present in the orientation were Ms. Evelyn A. Visitacion, Instructor I/Scholarship Focal, Ms. Alyssa Maven L. Macato, Administrative Aide IV and Mr. Mike Anthony M. Quindica, Instructor I and Trainer in OAP NC II. This successful activity was supported by the unwavering effort of Dr. Carlos B. Carizal, Vocational School Admimistrator I.

April 21, 2026 | Bangui Institute of Technology Celebrates Earth Month 2026!

In celebration of Earth Month 2026, Bangui Institute of Technology proudly organized a series of impactful activities to promote environmental awareness and responsibility among students and the community. The day kicked off with a Clean-Up Drive along Banban Bridge in Banban, Bangui, Ilocos Norte, in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Barangay Officials of Banban. This activity aimed to remove trash, prevent pollution, and foster a sense of stewardship for our local environment. Clean-up drives are crucial in maintaining the beauty of our surroundings, preventing environmental degradation, and encouraging community participation in protecting natural resources.

In the afternoon, we hosted a Symposium and Quiz Bee to deepen understanding of environmental issues and sustainable practices. The symposium featured experts sharing insights on climate change, conservation, and eco-friendly habits presented by Dr. Carlos B. Carizal, Vocational School Administrator. The Quiz Bee challenged the faculty and students’ knowledge on environmental topics, inspiring them to be proactive stewards of the Earth.

Conducting these activities emphasizes the importance of caring for our environment today for a sustainable future. It encourages community involvement, educates the youth, and reinforces the idea that small actions can lead to significant change.
Sir Reynaldo Baldo, Instructor I and the Green TVET Focal reiterated the importance on the conservation of our environment. "Let’s continue to work together to protect our planet because Earth is our home, and its well-being is our responsibility" he added.

This orientation aimed to familiarize the trainees with the opportunities as well as the benefits associated with Driving NC II and Trainers Methodology Level I qualifications, and to provide an overview of the various scholarship programs offered by Bangui Institute of Technology.

Present at the orientation were Ms. Evelyn A. Visitacion, Scholarship Focal and Instructor I, and Dr. Carlos B. Carizal, Vocational School Administrator of BIT.

April 6, 2026 | The Bangui Institute of Technology conducted a Training Induction Program for Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II at the Municipal Auditorium of Adams, Ilocos Norte.

This program aimed to familiarize the trainees with the requirements, benefits, and opportunities associated with the Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II qualification, as well as to provide an overview of the various scholarship programs available through TESDA and Bangui Institute of Technology. The activity also served to motivate and encourage the participants to pursue technical-vocational education and training as a pathway to better career prospects.

Present at the orientation were Ms. Evelyn A. Visitacion, Scholarship Focal and Instructor I, Ms. Alyssa Maven L. Macato, Administrative Aide IV, Mr. Nilo T. Garvida, Instructor I and trainer, and Dr. Carlos B. Carizal, Vocational School Administrator of BIT. The participants engaged in discussions about the skills needed for the welding industry, the certification process, and the support systems available for aspiring technicians. The activity also included a brief demonstration of welding techniques and a Q&A session to address the trainees' concerns.

The event was part of BIT’s ongoing efforts to promote technical education and to equip Filipinos with the necessary skills for employment and entrepreneurship in the manufacturing and construction sectors.
