The Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC) successfully conducted an Orientation on Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) for selected Grade 6 pupils on August 7, 2026, at the Sto. Niño Central Elementary School. The activity aimed to heighten awareness among young learners regarding digital safety, equip them with practical knowledge to identify online dangers, and encourage responsible internet use in an increasingly digital world.

The session featured PLT. Ma. Rosario M. Casumpang as the resource speaker, who delivered an engaging and age-appropriate discussion on the risks associated with online exploitation. She emphasized the importance of safeguarding personal information, recognizing red flags when interacting online, and seeking immediate help from trusted adults or authorities when encountering suspicious online behavior. Through this initiative, the school continues its commitment to fostering a safe, secure, and protective environment for its pupils both offline and online.

The local education and child protection sectors successfully gathered for an orientation on DepEd Order No. 006, Series of 2026 and Republic Act No. 9344 (Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006). Attended by public and private elementary and secondary school principals, alongside representatives from the Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC) and Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC), the event emphasized creating safer school environments and strengthening multi-sectoral support for child welfare. Additionally, the Sto. Niño Municipal Police Station (MPS) presented a comprehensive Contingency Plan designed to address and respond effectively to potential violent incidents in schools.

The orientation featured insightful discussions from distinguished resource speakers who shared their expertise on legal and policy frameworks. 𝘼𝙩𝙩𝙮.
