🥣 NUTRITION ON TRACK: SFP & DSP Implementation Meeting Held at the Mayor’s Office Conference Room

Earlier today, key stakeholders gathered at the Mayor’s Office Conference Room to lay the groundwork for the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) and Dietary Supplementation Program (DSP) in selected barangays across LGU Baras.

Targeting nutritionally at-risk children aged 6–59 months (identified through the recent 2026 OPT Plus results), these joint interventions aim to boost child growth, fill nutrient gaps, and promote long-term dietary health.

Program Highlights:

Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP)

Ages 6–23 months: Dry feeding distribution tailored to early developmental needs.

Ages 24–36 months: Wet feeding sessions providing wholesome, age-appropriate meals.

Dietary Supplementation Program (DSP)

Ages 37–59 months: Targeted milk feeding to complement daily meals and boost essential nutrient intake.

By combining direct feeding initiatives with strong collaboration among parents, caregivers, barangay officials, and the Municipal Nutrition Office, LGU Baras remains steadfast in protecting and nourishing our young children.

Bago ang Eleksyon, Alamin ang Serbisyo.

Bilang paghahanda para sa 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE), inilulunsad ng Balangibog ang isang three-part Pre-BNEO Series para sa mga nais tumakbo at maglingkod bilang barangay officials.

Sa seryeng ito, pag-uusapan ang mga tungkulin, responsibilidad, at functions ng bawat posisyon upang mas maunawaan ng mga aspiring barangay officials ang kanilang magiging mandato at pananagutan sa komunidad.

🐾 ANIMAL WELFARE WEEK 2026|

The Municipality of Baras, joins the nationwide observance of Animal Welfare Week 2026 on October 5–9, 2026, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 715.

Anchored on the theme, “Strengthening Information, Empowering Action: Advancing Animal Welfare Through Awareness and Enforcement,” the observance promotes responsible pet ownership, animal protection, and strengthened enforcement of animal welfare laws.
