Getting Voter's Certification is free.
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) reminds the public that COMELEC does NOT charge for issuing Voter's Certification.
If anyone offers to "process" your Voter's Certification in exchange for a fee or asks for any amount, beware. It could be a fixer or scammer taking advantage of the public.
Watch the video to know the right information and help prevent fraudulent activities. Share this with your family and friends too to protect them against fixers or scammers.

ERB SERIES: When will your voter application be heard?
According to R.A. 8189, it is the right of every citizen to have the registration process transparent. Here are important details you should remember:
🗓️ When is the ERB Hearing?
The first day of ERB Hearing will start this coming June 1, 2026 (Monday).
📍Where can the Notice and List of Applicants be found?
Election Officers will post the official list and schedule in the following areas:
• Bulletin board ng Office of the Election Officer (OEO).
• Bulletin board of your City or Municipal Hall.
👥 Who will receive a copy?
To ensure honesty and transparency of the process, besides posting on bulletin boards, official copies should also be sent to:
• ERB members
• Leaders or representatives of registered political parties
• Accredited groups or organizations in your city or municipality

ERB SERIES: How does the Election Registration Board violate voter applications?
After posting the list of applicants, your applications will go through thorough ERB scrutiny to ensure that everyone who wishes to vote is qualified.
Here is the process and bases for filling out applications:
🔍 1. Qualification Check (Age & Residency) ERB ensures that the applicant has achieved the following legal criteria:
• For the Youth Council (SK): 15 to 30 years old
• For the Barangay: 18 years old and above
Residency: Lived at least six (6) months in the barangay, and one (1) year in the Philippines before the election day.
✅ 2. When Was Application Approved Automatically? If there is no opposition or objection against the applicant and his biometrics data is complete, ERB will automatically approve the application.
❌ 3. When Was the Application Disapproved? If proven to be a violation of the law (such as age deficiency or residency), the application will be officially rejected.

ERB Series: WHY DOES YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION NEED TO GO THROUGH THE ERB HEARING?
Many are asking: "I already filled up the form and took biometrics, but why is there still a hearing? "Some thought, just for formality, but this step is very important!
💡 Here's What You Should Remember:
• Assurance of Clean List: It is the duty of ERB to ensure that only qualified applicants will be registered voters, and no unqualified or underqualified, will be included in the register of voters in your barangay.
• Qualification Check: Through the approval or disapproval process of applications, the ERB ensures that all aspiring voters meet the qualifications set by law, such as AGE and SUFFICIENT PERIOD OF RESIDENCE IN THE BARANGAY, to vote on November 2, 2026 Barangay and Youth Council Election.
• Transparency and Right to Oppose: The hearing is open to the public to make the list transparent. This gives the community an opportunity to view new registrations and hear if a legal complaint has been filed against an application.
⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDER: ERB Hearing is not a barrier to your voting. It's protection for your right to ensure "One Voter, One Vote" and your voice won't be tainted or doubled on election day!

ERB Series: WHO DECIDES IF YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION IS APPROVED?
Many think, only the COMELEC has the final decision on your application to be a voter. But did you know there is a board of officers that approves this?
Meet the Election Registration Board (ERB):
• Who builds ERB? It is composed of three members: the Election Officer (Chairperson), the Public School Chief Officer (Member), and the Local Civil Registrar or Municipal/City Treasurer without the registrar (Member).
• What is Anti-Nepotism Rule? Any relative who is currently sitting halal local official up to the fourth level of relative by blood or by marriage is not allowed to be a member of ERB.
• What if you want to complain or block a member? You have 10 days from the first day of the ERB hearing to file a petition to the Provincial Election Supervisor (or to the Regional Election Director if in NCR, Davao City, Zamboanga City, or Isabela City).
⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDER: Make sure to attach proof of service or proof that you've also sent a copy to the advertised member. Without it, your complaint will be immediately dismissed.

HAVE YOU RECEIVED SUMMONS FROM COMELEC? DON'T PANIC!
After registering, we thought we would just wait for election day. But what if you received a Summons from the COMELEC?
Don't worry, it doesn't mean it's too late. This is the ERB Series: "After I register, what's next? " These are the things you should remember:
• Why are you sent? Someone filed opposition or objection to your voter registration application. The Election Registration Board (ERB) wants to hear your side.
• What is written there? You will receive a copy of the complaint against you and the exact date, time, and place of the ERB hearing.
• What would you do? ATTENDING ERB HEARING. This is your chance to defend your right to vote. Bring evidence and documents (such as valid IDs or proof of residency) that will prove you are a qualified voter in your area.

Did you know that if there is something missing in your Certificate of Candidacy (COC), it will not be accepted? Don't let your preparation go to waste. Make sure you "check" everything on this list before heading to the office:
✅ CHECKLIST FOR SUCCESSFUL FILING:
✍️ Signed & Under Oath – Must be sealed & sworn.
⚖️ Notarized – Note: A COMELEC employee cannot notarize.
📸 Passport Photo – Should have been taken within the last 6 months.
🎫 Documentary Stamp (₱30) – A small but important requirement!
fill 5 Copies – Must complete fill out front and back.
⏰ In case there is something missing from what you submitted during the filing period, you still have a chance to replace it.
But warning: the deadline is only until 11:59 PM on May 7!
Waste no more time and avoid the stress of the last-minute rush. Fill correctly and double check everything before heading to the correct office!
