LAMITAN CITY | 5 March 2025 - City Vice Mayor Hon. Gem Furigay, together with other members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Lamitan, proudly attended the National Awarding Ceremony of the 2025 Local Legislative Award during the congregation of the Philippine Councilors League held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

Lamitan City expresses its deep gratitude to the Philippine Councilors League and the Department of the Interior and Local Government for the recognition and invitation to this prestigious national event. The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Lamitan was honored as one of the National Finalists under the Component City Category, a testament to the dedication and commitment of the city’s legislative body in advancing responsive and effective local governance.

The ceremony gathered local legislators from across the country and featured distinguished speakers including DILG Secretary Juanito Victor C. Remulla, who also serves as Chairperson of the National Awards Committee. This recognition inspires the City Government of Lamitan to continue strengthening legislation that uplifts the welfare of every Lamiteño and promotes sustainable local development.
