Starting March 9, 2026 (Monday), the Local Government Unit of Batad will implement a FOUR-DAY WORK WEEK as part of its Energy Conservation Measures in accordance with Executive Order No. 8 and Memorandum Circular No. 114.

Office Working Days: Monday – Thursday
Office Hours:
• 7:00 AM – 12:00 NN
• 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Total Weekly Hours: 40 Hours

Please be advised that essential and frontline services will remain available and fully operational at all times to ensure continuous service to the public.

𝟑𝟎 𝐏𝐑𝐏 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬

13 February 2026 — Thirty beneficiaries were officially awarded housing units through a raffle conducted by the Iloilo Provincial Government in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Batad. The housing project, located in Brgy. Nangka, is implemented under the Purok Resilience Program.

Beneficiaries personally drew their assigned units during the activity and were briefed on the terms and conditions covering the period prior to the formal turnover of the project.

In the same event, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Region VI, through its Community Development Division, presented the Homeowners’ Association with its Certificate of Incorporation. The document grants the association legal recognition as a registered neighborhood organization.

Mayor Elvira P. Alarcon attended the activity together with concerned department heads of the LGU, MLGOO Engr. Regil E. Gumayan, HPFPI Regional Coordinator Sonia F. Cardonigara with Arch. Arr Jay Rubinos, PRP Focal Person Carr Brian J. Grino, and representatives from the PDRRMO.

Please be informed that work and transactions in all LGU Batad offices are suspended on February 11 and February 17, 2026. Meanwhile, work in government offices and classes on February 25, 2026 will continue as usual.
