BATANGAS PPO NETS SUSPECT FOR FI****MS AND DRUGS VIOLATION THROUGH IMPLEMENTATION OF SEARCH WARRANT IN BALETE, BATANGAS
The Batangas Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of PCOL OLIVER B EBORA, Acting Provincial Director, successfully arrested a suspect for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Regulation Act) through the implementation of a search warrant conducted by personnel of Balete Municipal Police Station at about 4:19 AM on August 7, 2026, in Barangay Palsara, Balete, Batangas.
The suspect was identified as a.k.a. “MAR”, a 41-year-old male, and a resident of Brgy. Palsara Balete, Batangas, was arrested by virtue of a search warrant issued by the Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 83 of Tanauan City, Batangas, dated August 03, 2026. During search, recovered pieces of evidence from the premises of the suspect were the following:
a. one (1) unit of caliber 38 Smith & Wesson revolver without a serial number and loaded with four (4) pieces live ammunition
b. Two (2) pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets, all containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with an approximate weight of 0.10 grams with an estimated drug price of Php 780.00 and
c. One (1) Mentos case
Pieces of evidence recovered were properly marked and inventoried in the place where the operation was conducted in the presence of a media representative, an elected barangay Official and the suspect. Said operation was recorded using Two (2) Alternative Recording Devices in accordance with established operational procedures. The accused is now under the custody of the Balete Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
PCOL EBORA emphasized the commitment of Batangas PPO in its fight against illegal drugs and illegal fi****ms in the province.
“Hindi kami titigil hangga’t mayroong nagtutulak ng bawal na gamot o nagtatago ng mga hindi rehistradong armas sa ating mga komunidad. Ang matagumpay na operasyong ito ay patunay ng ating walang humpay na pagsisikap, pagkakaisa, at matibay na determinasyon upang panatilihing payapa, ligtas, at protektado ang bawat isa sa Batangas."
