LUNG MONTH CELEBRATION and FREE CHEST X-RAY
August 26, 2026

The City Health Office (CHO) TB DOTS Center of Baybay City, Leyte, in alliance with PhilHealth and Divine Rays Diagnostic & Medical Supplies, successfully celebrated Lung Month in Brgy. Sabang Baybay City, Leyte, with informative seminar regarding Tubercolosis, and provision of Free Chest X-Ray for barangay residents. We are grateful to all participants for the success of this event.

A heartfelt Gratitude to the City Government of Baybay

The Brgy. Council of Brgy. Sabang, headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Elmer Trigosa, expresses our heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Baybay City for the generous provision of school bags, uniforms, and school supplies to our Daycare students.
Our sincerest appreciation goes to our City Mayor, Hon. Jose Carlos L. Cari, our City Vice Mayor, Hon. Ernesto M. Butawan, and the members of the 7th Sangguniang Panlungsod for your continued commitment to the welfare of our young learners.
We would also like to give special recognition and thanks to Hon. Edgardo R. Ompoy, and Manuel Icon Donayre, DPA for gracing the activity with their presence and support together with the City Social Welfare and Development Officers and staff for assisting in the success of the program.

ROAD CLEARING & WATER RESERVOIR CLEAN-UP

Road Clearing activity was conducted on August 16, 2026, leading towards the Water Reservoir located in Patag. Done successfully by our dedicated Barangay Tanods and Barangay Officials headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Elmer Trigosa with the valuable assistance and participation of 4Ps Members.

DENGUE SEARCH AND DESTROY OPERATION | WEEKLY BARKaDA CLEAN-UP

Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Officials, SK Officials, headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Elmer trigosa, conducted a Dengue Search and Destroy Activity as part of our Weekly BarKaDA Clean-Up. We also appreciate the active participation and assistance of 4Ps and UPLIFT Members, who joined in cleaning the surroundings and identifying and eliminating potential mosquito breeding sites.

Today, the Farmer's and Fisherfolk's Association Members assisted the BHWs, Brgy. Tanods, and Barangay Officials headed by Hon. Elmer Trigosa in maintaining cleanliness for three areas; Road towards Pomponan, along the Highway, and towards the Brgy. Water Reservoir in Patag. Particiipated also is the barangay's RHM Marlon Urbona to promote health in cleanliness.

Mangrove Ecosystem Research in Brgy. Sabang

We would like to express our gratitude to our city mayor, Hon. JOSE CARLOS L. CARI for allowing Ghent University from Belgium, headed by Dr. PETER GOETHALS together with masters students and researchers, assisted by VSU DBS Department of Biological Sciences - Marine Laboratory, for choosing our barangay's mangrove areas for their study and research in Mangrove Ecosystem. This proves that our mangrove areas are bountiful enough worthy of their attention and study.
We also applaud our barangay Bantay Dagat and Fisherfolks Association for their presence and guidance.
