Bilang bahagi ng pagtataguyod ng isang malusog at aktibong pamumuhay, matagumpay na isinasagawa ng Paaralang Elementarya ng Palew ang Project SEMEK (Self Enhancement, Management and Enjoyment of Khameng) tuwing Lunes, Miyerkules, at Biyernes, 4:00 ng hapon, ngayong Panuruang Taon 2026–2027. Ang programang ito ay aktibong nilalahukan ng mga g**o at mag-aaral sa pamamagitan ng sabayang ehersisyo at mga gawaing pampalakas ng katawan tulad ng stretching, aerobic exercises, sayaw, at iba pang nakakatuwang ehersisyo na angkop sa lahat ng kalahok. . Layunin nitong mapabuti ang pisikal na kalusugan, mapanatili ang sigla ng katawan, at maihanda ang lahat sa isang mas produktibong araw ng pagkatuto.
Sa pamamagitan ng Project SEMEK, naipapakita ang pagkakaisa at kooperasyon ng buong komunidad ng paaralan. Ang mga g**o ay nagsisilbing huwaran sa pagpapakita ng disiplina at pagpapahalaga sa regular na pag-eehersisyo, habang ang mga mag-aaral ay masayang nakikilahok sa iba't ibang galaw at ehersisyo na nagpapalakas ng kanilang katawan at isipan. Patuloy na isusulong ng Paaralang Elementarya ng Palew ang Project SEMEK bilang isa sa mga programang nagtataguyod ng kabuuang kapakanan ng bawat mag-aaral at g**o. Sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pakikilahok at suporta ng lahat, inaasahang magiging mas malusog, mas masigla, at mas handa ang bawat isa sa pagharap sa mga hamon ng pag-aaral at pagtuturo. Ang Project SEMEK ay tunay na patunay na ang pag-eehersisyo ay hindi lamang nagpapalakas ng katawan kundi nagpapalalim din ng samahan at nagdudulot ng kasiyahan sa buong komunidad ng paaralan.

OBE Monitoring Team, Bumisita sa Paaralan

Bumisita ang OBE Team sa Palew ES Noong Hunyo 23, 2026 upang magsagawa ng pagmomonitor ng mga programang pang-edukasyon. Pinangunahan ang pagbisita nina Erlinda C. Quinuan, Education Program Supervisor–Values Education; Mary Jane L. Leo, PhD, Public Schools District In-Charge; Jenny T. Bacquian, Project Development Officer I–Youth Formation; at Julius O. Dig-o, Administrative Assistant III.

Sa isinagawang pagbisita, sinuri ng pangkat ang mga programa at gawaing pangpaaralan upang matiyak ang maayos na implementasyon ng mga ito. Nagbigay rin sila ng mga mungkahi at rekomendasyon upang higit pang mapabuti ang kalidad ng edukasyon at mga serbisyong inihahatid sa mga mag-aaral.

Palew ES Joins 2nd Quarter Earthquake Drill

The school successfully participated in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18 at 9:00 AM to promote disaster preparedness.

Learners and teachers performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure, followed by an orderly evacuation to designated safe areas.

The drill aims to strengthen the readiness of the school community in responding to earthquake emergencies.

Palew Elementary School successfully held its first General PTA Meeting on June 11, bringing together parents and teachers to discuss important updates and strengthen collaboration for the coming school year.

During the meeting, several key topics were presented, including an orientation on the Three-Term School Calendar, the Revised Guidelines on Classroom Assessment, and the Guidelines on Class Suspension. These discussions helped parents gain a clearer understanding of school policies, academic expectations, and procedures.

Updates on ongoing projects and accomplishments of Brigada Eskwela were shared, showcasing the strong support and active involvement of the community in preparing the school for the new academic year.

In addition, concerns related to school uniforms and student IDs were addressed, providing a platform for clarification and feedback from parents.

The meeting concluded with an open forum led by PTA President Mrs. Sheena P. Afredo, where parents were encouraged to raise their concerns, share insights, and offer suggestions to further improve the school’s programs and services

Personnel from the Tublay Rural Health Unit, led by Tamara Welsh D. Herman, and Dulce B. Bero, together with Caponga Barangay Health Workers, conducted height and weight measurements for Kinder to Grade 6 learners to assess their nutritional status on June 9.

The team also carried out a health and hygiene inspection of the school. In addition, a lecture on proper hygiene was given to Grade 1 pupils, promoting good habits such as proper handwashing and personal cleanliness.

The activity highlights the joint effort of health workers and educators in promoting the well-being of learners.

Tublay MDRRM personnel conducted an earthquake drill at Palew Elementary School on June 9 with 169 learners, school staff, and parents participating.
The activity focused on proper earthquake response, including “Duck, Cover, and Hold” and orderly evacuation. After the drill, MDRRM personnel evaluated the participants’ performance and provided feedback for improvement.
The drill was timely following the recent magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Mindanao, highlighting the importance of preparedness and safety awareness.

Palew ES Welcomes 168 Learners for School Year Opening

Palew Elementary School (Palew ES) officially opened the new school year with the warm welcome of 168 learners and the active participation of parents during the opening program.

In his message, School Principal Charlie T. Ricardo warmly welcomed the learners and encouraged them to strive for excellence throughout the school year.

During the program, PTA President Sheena P. Alfredo introduced the school's teaching and non-teaching personnel. The school staff includes Administrative Officer Jayferd T. Pulac and faculty members Elsie B. Gavino, Deborah S. Allan, Doralyn B. Damaso, Claire A. Mayomis, Marivic T. Batil, Hazel C. Velasco, Jerson F. Velasco, Nelson S. Calatero Jr., and Maricel R. Banwa.

The successful opening marked the beginning of another year of learning, growth, and collaboration among learners, parents, and school personnel at Palew ES.
