Palew Elementary School Participates in 2026 Division Technolympics

The 2026 Division Technolympics was successfully held at Alejo M. Pacalso Memorial National High School in Tuding, Itogon, Benguet. The event brought together talented learners from different schools in the division to showcase their skills in technology and livelihood activities.

In the Techno-Fusion category, Abcde Ophir P. Alfredo and Alexandria M. Bilalay placed 4th, demonstrating creativity and technical skills.

Meanwhile, in the Asexual Propagation event, Harland A. Angeleo won 3rd place, showing excellence in plant propagation techniques.

The achievements of the Palew Elementary School contestants made the school proud and highlighted the learners’ dedication, hard work, and talent.

SDO Monitoring Team Conducts Technical Assistance Visit to Palew Elementary School

Palew, February 5, 2026 — In line with the Schools Division Office’s (SDO) commitment to strengthening school governance and improving teaching–learning processes, the SDO Monitoring Team conducted an on-site monitoring and technical assistance visit to Palew Elementary School.

The activity aimed to strengthen instructional practices, school management, and the implementation of DepEd programs through monitoring, document review, and collaborative discussions. The team was composed of Merlyn Conchita O. De Guzman, EPS–Science; Macarthy B. Malanes, EPS–Araling Panlipunan; Xylene Grail D. Kinomis, SEPS–HRDS; Corazon C. Quipot, SEPS–SMME; Nerissa I. Barbosa, PDO II–DRRM; Mary Jane L. Leo, PSDI–Tublay District; and Julius O. Dig-o, ADAS III.

Palew Elementary School expressed appreciation for the valuable guidance and recommendations shared by the SDO Monitoring Team, which will contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.

In celebration of NATIONAL TOOTHBRUSHING DAY and NATIONAL DENTAL HEALTH MONTH

National Toothbrushing Day:

Learners of Palew Elementary School took part in this year’s National Toothbrushing Day activities — joining schools nationwide in a mass toothbrushing drill and oral hygiene education to promote proper brushing habits and healthier smiles as part of the National Dental Health Month observance.

Pontino Elementary School, Ambassador, Tublay, Benguet – January 29, 2026

Learners from different schools showcased their talents and technical skills during the 2026 District Festival of Talents (DFOT) Technolympics, held at Pontino Elementary School. With the theme “Tech Skills 2026: Empowering Learners Through Innovation and Creativity,” the event highlighted learners’ competence in technology, creativity, and practical life skills.

Among the participants, Palew Elementary School stood out for its strong performance in various contest categories. In the Tecno-Fusion competition, Alexandria M. Bilalay and Abcde Ophir P. Alfredo won First Place, impressing judges with their innovative and well-executed project.

In the Asexual Propagation category, Harland Jr. A. Angeleo also earned First Place, demonstrating excellent skills in plant propagation and agricultural techniques.

Meanwhile, Jed C. Dannang and Raizo I. Quinomis placed Fourth in Food Preparation, showing teamwork and creativity in culinary presentation. In Invitation Card Making, Kian Calvin V. Simongo represented the school as a participant, displaying artistic talent and design skills.

The DFOT Technolympics served as a platform for learners to develop confidence, innovation, and technical abilities, proving that young minds can excel when given the opportunity to create and compete.

Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on Adapting and Implementing Learning Programs that Ensure Relevance and Responsiveness to the Needs of All Learners cm Designing, Adapting and Implementing Teaching Strategies Responsive to Learners with Disabilities, Giftedness, and Talents was successfully conducted at Palew Elementary School, on January 13, 2026 ( 3:15–5:15 PM) facilitated by the master teacher and the school head, Mr. Charlie Ricardo with Maricel R. Banwa, the SNED Mobile Teacher as the main speaker.

The activity provided a collaborative platform for teachers to enhance their competencies in inclusive education through focused discussions, sharing of best practices, and practical application of differentiated and learner-centered strategies. Teachers actively participated in analyzing learner needs, adapting learning programs, and designing responsive teaching strategies to support learners with disabilities, giftedness, and special talents.

Tublay MHO Holds SCBCC on Pinggang Pinoy and Food Pyramid for School-Aged Children

The Office of the Municipal Health of Tublay spearheaded a Social and Behavior Change Communication (SCBCC) session on Pinggang Pinoy and the Food Pyramid for school-aged children at Palew Elementary School on September 30, 2025.

The activity was facilitated by Ms. Imee U.Langguyan, a 4th-year BS Nutrition and Dietetics student from Benguet State University currently on on-the-job training at LGU Tublay Rural Health Unit, together with Mrs. Brenda B. Oidi, the school nurse assigned at Palew Elementary School.

The session highlighted the importance of proper nutrition by familiarizing learners with Pinggang Pinoy and the Food Pyramid. Discussions emphasized healthy eating habits and their role in promoting the overall growth and development of children.

Palew Elementary School Launches ARAL Program for Learners

Palew Elementary School officially launched its ARAL (Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning) Program this 29th of September 2025, catering 36 learners from Grades 2 to 6 for the current quarter. Grade 1 learners that will be identified are set to participate on the third quarter. The activity is facilitated by Mrs. Claire A. Mayomis, MT I, under the supervision of the school head, Mr. Charlie Ricardo.

The ARAL Program aims to provide targeted interventions to help learners strengthen foundational skills, recover learning gaps, and enhance academic performance. By focusing on key subject areas, it seeks to support learners in catching up with competencies while building confidence and motivation in their studies.

With this initiative, Palew Elementary School continues its commitment to ensuring that no learner is left behind, aligning with the Department of Education’s thrust to address learning losses and improve educational outcomes.

Palew Elementary School Holds Turnover Program for SNED Mobile Teachers

Honoring the contributions of outgoing mobile teacher Mrs. Sheryll T. Ofo-ob and welcoming incoming teacher Mrs. Maricel R. Banwa , the school held a Turnover and Send-off Program for SNED Mobile Teachers on the 19th of September 2025.

Messages from Ms. Sheena P. Alfredo, SPTA President, and Mrs. Marivic T. Batil, Faculty Club President, added warmth and inspiration to the program. Their words underscored the importance of cooperation and shared responsibility in advancing Special and Inclusive Education within the school community.

After the program, discussions centering on issues of the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program and Expanded Career Progression for Teachers were also addressed.
