The Cordillera Administrative Region will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains may occur.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds blowing from North to Northeast will prevail over the region.

A gradual shift in the prevailing weather pattern has been observed over the past several days, such as the strengthening high pressure system over East Asia, the southward-migrating Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), and the notable weakening of winds and a decrease in rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon.

Forecasts indicate that these conditions are expected to persist in the coming days. In view of this, the Habagat season has officially ended. This also marks the termination of the rainy season over the western sections of Luzon and Visayas.

DOST-PAGASA will continue to monitor the country's weather and climatic conditions. Meanwhile, the public and all concerned agencies are advised to monitor relevant information regularly.

Mr. Sawey is originally from Capinitan, Sabangan, Mountain Province, is presently residing at his house in Botiao, Cattubo, Atok, Benguet. Accordingly, on August 30, 2026, Mr. Rogelio Sawey was nowhere to be found at his residence. His house was found locked, and upon opening it, his backpack containing the personal belongings he intended to bring to La Trinidad remained inside the house, indicating that he had not taken the said belongings with him.

Currently, Mr. Sawey is still being located in La Trinidad, Benguet and Baguio City where he was apparently seen.
