Besao National High School Joins Regional Work Immersion Fair 2026

Besao National High School participated in the 2026 Regional Work Immersion Fair, conducted at the Auditorium of Baguio City High School, with the theme “Bridging Aspiration and Opportunity: Strengthening Industry-School Partnerships” on September 18,2026. The activity brought together schools and industry partners to strengthen collaboration, align school-based training with workplace needs, and expand opportunities for Senior High School learners.

Representing BNHS were Immersion Coordinators Cesaria C. Reyna and Linda B. Beyden, accompanied by School Principal Rico D. Tayne, Mrs. Agrifina Lumpisa, Education Program Supervisor for TVL/TLE, and Mr. Khad Layag, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division.

The fair served as a convergence platform for schools and industry partners, particularly in support of the implementation of the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum Technical Professional (TechPro) Track. The event featured networking and matching sessions designed to connect schools with industry partners and facilitate commitments for work immersion slots for learners for School Year 2026- 2027.

Also representing the Mountain Province immersion partners was Sagada Homestay Inn and Restaurant, which joined the activity as an industry partner. Its participation highlighted the important role of local businesses in providing authentic workplace exposure and helping bridge the competencies developed in school with actual industry requirements.

The school's participation in the fair reinforced its commitment to providing learners with meaningful workplace experiences while strengthening partnerships with establishments that can contribute to their professional preparation. Through continued collaboration among the school, industry, and education stakeholders, work immersion becomes an avenue for learners to develop skills, gain workplace experience, and create opportunities for their future careers.

BeNHS FORGES HOME-SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP THROUGH SPTA MEETING AND TERM 1 CARD GIVING

Besao National High School (BeNHS) strengthened its partnership with parents and teachers through its School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Meeting and Term 1 Card Giving held at the BeNHS Function Hall on September 11, 2026.

The activity opened with an orientation led by School Principal Sir Rico D. Tayne, who discussed DepEd Order No. 6, s. 2026, or the “Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE)”. The discussion highlighted important provisions on Bullying prevention and response, proper procedures in handling bullying incidents, the Data Privacy Act, and the promotion of a Safe School and Environment.

Sir Rico emphasized the importance of preventing bullying and responding to reported incidents appropriately and through proper procedures to ensure that concerns involving learners were addressed promptly and with due regard for their safety and well-being. He also underscored the shared responsibility of the school and parents in protecting learners’ personal information and in creating a safe, respectful, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.

Adding valuable insights on family support, Ma'am Julina G. Malinias of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) shared perspectives on parenting and social-emotional support. She encouraged parents to become attentive listeners and dependable support systems for their children.

Meanwhile, Ma’am Linda Beyden, Guidance Designate, discussed the challenges encountered by learners and the interventions undertaken by the school to address their academic, behavioral, emotional, and social concerns. She highlighted the importance of early intervention, guidance services, open communication, positive discipline, and strong coordination between parents and teachers in helping learners overcome challenges and make responsible choices.

The school’s efforts to address learning gaps were also highlighted through the ARAL (Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning) Program. Ma’am Vilma Beyden appealed for parents’ support and consent for learners who needed to participate in ARAL sessions beyond regular class hours. She emphasized that parental cooperation was essential in providing learners with additional opportunities to recover learning gaps, strengthen foundational competencies, and improve their academic performance.

Also discussed was the school’s Literacy Program, presented by Ma’am Sharon Lipas, who emphasized that literacy was not merely a requirement in Senior High School. She stressed that strong literacy skills were essential for learners’ continued growth and success in higher education and future endeavors, helping them become confident readers, effective communicators, critical thinkers, and independent learners.

Following the general SPTA orientation, parents and teachers proceeded to their respective Homeroom PTA Meetings, where they discussed classroom concerns, learner progress, attendance, behavior, and other matters affecting learners’ development.

The SPTA Meeting and Term 1 Card Giving reinforced the principle that education is a shared responsibility. The activity brought parents, teachers, school leaders, and stakeholders together in fostering an environment where learners were supported not only academically but also socially and emotionally.

Through continued collaboration with families and the community, BeNHS remains committed to nurturing learners in a safe, supportive, inclusive, and learner-centered environment.

BeNHS WALKS FOR A CLEANER ENVIRONMENT AND STRONGER SPORTS DEVELOPMENT 🏃‍♂️⚾

Besao National High School took meaningful steps toward a cleaner environment and stronger sports development through its “From Every Step to Every Swing” Walk for a Cause and Community Clean up Drive held on September 11, 2026.

The activity brought together the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), BeNHS alumni, parents, teachers, students and the community who actively participated in the community walk. Participants began the activity from their respective homes and made their way toward Tinagapan Ground, turning every step into an opportunity to make a difference.

Along the route, participants collected scattered waste, transforming the walk into a community clean-up drive. More than promoting physical fitness, the activity highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment.

The walk also served as a fundraising initiative for the Kabadang Sports Club, with proceeds intended to support the purchase of bat-and-ball sports equipment for student-athletes.

Through “Step to Every Swing,” BNHS demonstrated that small steps can create meaningful change—one step for a cleaner community, one swing for aspiring athletes, and one united effort for a stronger school community.

💚 Walk. Clean. Give. Play. Together, we make every step count!

Ani Heinrich Palangeo, kalahok mula sa Cookery, “Always be humble but confident, teamwork, and always respect each other.
