Naval, Biliran – August 23, 2026 — Under the leadership of 𝐒𝐅𝐎4 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐌. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐫., Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, the 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 successfully conducted a 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 at 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥, 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧, aimed at strengthening the fire safety awareness, preparedness, and emergency response capabilities of employees and personnel.

The activity provided participants with essential knowledge on fire prevention, common causes of fire, proper use of fire extinguishers, emergency procedures, and appropriate actions during a fire incident. The lecture emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe workplace, identifying potential fire hazards, and taking preventive measures to minimize the risk of fire.

Following the lecture, participants took part in a practical fire safety drill, allowing them to apply the knowledge and procedures discussed. The drill included proper evacuation, orderly movement to designated assembly areas, and basic emergency response procedures. Participants were also given practical guidance on the safe and proper use of fire extinguishers during incipient-stage fires.

The activity aimed to enhance the participants’ confidence and readiness to respond effectively during fire emergencies while emphasizing that prevention, preparedness, and immediate response are key to protecting lives and property.

Through continuous fire safety education and community-based drills, the Naval Fire Station remains committed to strengthening partnerships with establishments and promoting a safer, more prepared, and fire-resilient community.

𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐫., Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, the 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 successfully conducted a two-day 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 (𝐁𝐋𝐒) 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 at the Naval Gymnasium as part of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 celebration, with the theme “𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬.”

The training aimed to equip young participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in providing immediate assistance during emergencies. The sessions covered fundamental first aid principles, proper assessment of injured or ill individuals, wound and bleeding management, basic bandaging techniques, and other appropriate first-aid interventions.

The Basic Life Support (BLS) lecture also emphasized the importance of recognizing life-threatening emergencies and responding promptly and effectively. Participants were introduced to essential life-saving procedures, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), proper emergency response, and the importance of early activation of emergency medical services.

Through interactive discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, the participants gained greater confidence in responding to emergencies while waiting for professional medical assistance. The activity highlighted the important role of the youth as capable and responsible members of the community who can contribute to saving lives during critical situations.

The Naval Fire Station remains committed to strengthening community preparedness by providing continuous fire safety, first aid, and emergency response education. Through initiatives such as Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, the station continues to empower the youth with knowledge and skills that promote a safer, more prepared, and resilient community.

Naval, Biliran – August 21, 2026 — Under the leadership of 𝐒𝐅𝐎4 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐌. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐫., Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, the 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 actively participated in the “𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍” Bamboo Planting Activity, held along the Borac River Bank, Naval, Biliran.

The activity aimed to promote environmental protection, riverbank conservation, and community involvement through the planting and cultivation of bamboo. Fire station personnel joined fellow stakeholders and community partners in planting bamboo seedlings along the riverbank, contributing to efforts to prevent soil erosion, protect waterways, and enhance the surrounding ecosystem.

The “𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍” initiative underscores the importance of collective action in preserving and rehabilitating natural resources. Through its participation, the Naval Fire Station demonstrates its commitment not only to fire prevention and emergency response but also to environmental stewardship and community service.

The activity further strengthened camaraderie and cooperation among participating agencies, organizations, and community members, highlighting the shared responsibility of protecting the environment for present and future generations. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐫., Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, the 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 conducted a coordination visit to 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚, 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥, 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧, and met with 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐞 𝐆. 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐬 to discuss matters concerning the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐱𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 (𝐂𝐅𝐀𝐆), the issuance of a 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫, and the implementation of the 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞.

The coordination aimed to strengthen the partnership between the Bureau of Fire Protection and the barangay in promoting community-based fire prevention and emergency preparedness. Discussions focused on the organization and activation of the CFAG, the roles and responsibilities of its members, and the importance of establishing appropriate policies and measures to support fire safety initiatives within the community.

The activity also highlighted the Barangay Fire Safety Challenge as a means of encouraging active participation, promoting fire safety awareness, and enhancing the capability of barangay officials and residents to prevent and respond to fire emergencies. Through continuous coordination and collaboration, the Naval Fire Station remains committed to empowering communities and building a safer, more prepared, and fire-resilient Barangay Padre Inocentes Garcia.
