𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊! 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐁𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐘𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐩 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲

With the theme “Pagyakap sa Pagbabago, Pagtahak sa Bagong Simula,” the Local Government Unit of Bislig City successfully conducted the 2nd Graduation Ceremony of the Yakap Bayan After Care Program on May 6, 2026, at the CSWD Women’s Training Center.

The activity highlighted the commitment of the local government and partner agencies in supporting the continuous recovery and reintegration of program beneficiaries toward a drug-free and productive community.

Present during the ceremony were CLGOO Julius R. Carrido (DILG Bislig), representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP) Consultant, and the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Office.

The graduation ceremony served as a recognition of the participants’ dedication and perseverance in embracing positive change and pursuing a renewed direction in life. Messages of encouragement and inspiration were shared by the partner agencies, emphasizing the importance of community support, resilience, and hope in sustaining recovery and transformation.

The Yakap Bayan After Care Program continues to strengthen collaborative efforts among stakeholders in promoting rehabilitation, aftercare support, and social reintegration for recovering individuals in Bislig City.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊! 𝐂𝐁𝐃𝐑𝐏 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐠 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲

The Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP) conducted a series of home visitations in various barangays of Bislig City on April 20-23 and May 5–7, 2026. The activity was participated in by representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), LGU representatives, and Barangay Officials.

The home visitation aimed to monitor and assess the progress and condition of CBDRP beneficiaries within their respective communities. It also served as an avenue to strengthen coordination among stakeholders and ensure the continuous delivery of interventions and support services for individuals undergoing community-based rehabilitation.

During the activity, the TWG members conducted interviews, validation, and consultations with beneficiaries and their families to determine their current status and identify necessary assistance and interventions. The collaborative effort highlights the commitment of partner agencies and local officials in promoting recovery, reintegration, and community support toward a drug-free Bislig City.

The conduct of the home visitation reflects the dedication of the CBDRP Technical Working Group in ensuring that rehabilitation efforts remain responsive, inclusive, and sustainable through strengthened community participation and inter-agency collaboration.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), successfully conducted the “Coaching on the Re-Application for Barangay Drug Cleared Status” on May 6–7, 2026 at Highland Function Farm and Hotel La Salle, Bislig City.

The activity was participated in by DILG personnel, PDEA representatives, PNP personnel, Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP) Focal Person, and the Barangay Secretaries of Barangay Pamanlinan, Barangay Pamaypayan, Barangay Caguyao, and Barangay Tumanan.

The two-day coaching activity aimed to guide and assist the participating barangays in the preparation and completion of documentary requirements necessary for the re-application of their Barangay Drug Cleared Status. Discussions focused on the updated guidelines, compliance requirements, and strategies to sustain anti-illegal drug initiatives at the barangay level.

Resource persons from PDEA and partner agencies provided technical assistance and shared insights on strengthening community-based interventions, monitoring mechanisms, and collaborative efforts in maintaining drug-free communities.

The activity further emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation and the commitment of local government units and barangays in supporting the national government’s anti-illegal drug campaign through sustainable and community-based approaches.

DILG reaffirmed its continued support to barangays in ensuring compliance with the parameters set for maintaining and achieving Drug Cleared Status, ultimately promoting safer and more peaceful communities.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bislig City, through its Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC), successfully conducted its 1st on-site validation of completed and ongoing projects funded under the 20% Development Fund on April 30, 2026.

The activity was conducted in coordination with the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) and the City Engineering Office, ensuring that projects are implemented in accordance with approved plans, technical standards, and timelines, while promoting transparency and accountability in local governance.

Representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), along with personnel from CPDO and the City Engineering Office, actively participated in the validation process, providing valuable insights and reinforcing multi-sectoral collaboration in monitoring government projects.

The initiative highlights the commitment of LGU Bislig City to uphold good governance principles and ensure that development projects effectively respond to the needs of the community.
