[RECENTLY CONCLUDED]

The Technology Transfer Protocol for the Region successfully gathered RAISE XI CMIs for a 2-day capacity-building initiative under the Regional-IPTBM (RAISE Program).
Participants explored key topics including:

• Technology Transfer Fundamentals and National Policies
• From Research to Commercialization: Technology Transfer Protocols
• Case Studies on Technology Licensing and Startup Formation
• Intellectual Property Management and Licensing Strategies
• Developing Institutional Technology Transfer Protocols (Workshop)
• Industry Perspectives on Technology Adoption
• Regional Collaboration and Partnership Opportunities

With valuable insights from Engr. Jason Occidental (ITSO Manager, Ateneo de Davao University) and Engr. Elpedio Corbeta (PTA IV, RAISE Regional IPTBM), the activity strengthened participants’ capacity to translate research into impactful innovations.

The Agripreneurship Training: Strengthening MSMEs for Market-Oriented Development continues with a productive second day under the RAISE Program.

Today’s sessions focused on building strong financial management skills for our agripreneurs. Dr. Ma. Joy G. Soriano led an insightful discussion on Costing, Pricing, and Tracking Expenses, learning how to strategically price their products and manage costs effectively. Mr. Nash N. Regenio, Project Leader of the Regional ABH, also shared his expertise on preparing Financial Statements, helping participants better understand their business performance through proper documentation and analysis.

DOST-PCAARRD hosts RAISE Program Phase 2 National Review

On June 9, 2025, the DOST-PCAARRD successfully conducted the RAISE Phase 2 National Review and Dry-Run Presentation at the DPITC in Los Baños, Laguna.

The event highlighted the resilience and dedication of regional implementers despite funding challenges, with presentations from Regions VIII, V, CAR, VI, I, XI, and IV showcasing notable milestones and ongoing efforts.

Director Noel Catibog emphasized the importance of early review and collaboration, setting the tone for impactful implementation moving forward. The session also tackled key issues such as realistic target setting, adaptability, and preparations for the upcoming RAISE Summit.

Feedback sessions helped refine strategies for sustained success in the agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources sectors. Together, implementers reaffirmed their shared commitment to deliver meaningful results across all regions.
