Bocaue, Bulacan | On July 27, 2025, Mayor Eduardo J. Villanueva, Jr. led the 2nd quarterly meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) held in the Municipality of Bocaue.
The meeting was attended by representatives from various government agencies, the police force, barangay officials, and other civil society organizations (CSOs) to discuss the current state of peace and order, as well as the ongoing anti-illegal drugs campaign in the municipality. The main objective was to strengthen coordination and collaboration among sectors to ensure sustained safety and development within the community.
Mayor Villanueva specifically emphasized that the top priority is the safety and security of the residents, with a special focus on further strengthening protection around convenience stores, which have often been targets of robberies in the past. He highlighted that for the past two years, Bocaue has recorded zero incidents of robbery, reflecting the effectiveness of existing measures. The mayor called for continued efforts to maintain and improve this level of security.
Among the topics discussed were reports from the Philippine National Police (PNP), strategic plans and measures against illegal drugs, the municipalityโs initiatives on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism and Illegal activities (PCVEI), and other peace and security programs spearheaded by the local government.
Mayor Villanueva reiterated the local governmentโs unwavering commitment to uphold peace and order, emphasizing that maintaining a safe and secure community is a continuous effort that requires the cooperation of all stakeholders. With strengthened partnerships and collective vigilance, Bocaue aims not only to sustain its current achievements but also to create a safer and more prosperous future for all its residents.
