Face-to-face classes in ALL LEVELS, both PUBLIC and PRIVATE, in the Municipality of Bolinao, Pangasinan are hereby SUSPENDED on 28 August 2026, due to the inclement weather brought about by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

All schools are hereby directed to implement Modular Distance Learning (MDL) or any other appropriate alternative learning modality, in accordance with the policies, guidelines, and issuances of the Department of Education (DepEd).

The public is likewise advised to remain vigilant and continue monitoring official advisories and weather updates from PAGASA, Pangasinan PDRRMO, and Bolinao MDRRMO.

The Municipality of Bolinao advises the public to remain vigilant following a reported unauthorized request for monetary assistance allegedly intended for a calamity fund.
The reported solicitation is falsely using the name of Ms. Rose O. Garcia, Municipal Administrator, and involves the following details:

* Mobile Number: 0945 328 8567
* RCBC Account: Account ending in 5153

The Municipality strongly reminds the public not to send money, transfer funds, or provide personal, banking, or other sensitive information in response to this request unless its authenticity has been independently verified through the Municipality’s official communication channels.

Residents are urged to exercise extreme caution when receiving unsolicited requests for financial assistance, particularly those claiming to represent the Municipal Government, local officials, government programs, or calamity-related initiatives.

Batay sa weather forecast ng DOST-PAGASA, inaasahang makararanas ng maulap na kalangitan na may kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorms sa ating lugar.

Dahil maaaring magkakaiba ang kondisyon ng panahon sa bawat lugar, maaaring magsuspinde ng klase at trabaho ang mga School Head kung walang ipinatutupad na automatic suspension o deklarasyon mula sa LGU, alinsunod sa DepEd Order No. 022, s. 2024.

Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), and in view of the Heavy Rainfall Warnings issued by PAGASA relative to the continuous heavy rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon, government offices in the National Capital Region and the provinces of Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, and Occidental Mindoro are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements on 18 August 2026.

Agencies delivering basic and health services, disaster preparedness/response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services. Alternative learning modes shall be implemented for classes at all levels in public and private schools in the aforementioned areas.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

The Local Government Unit of Bolinao, under the dynamic leadership of Hon. Jesus F. Celeste, Municipal Mayor, continues to support initiatives that promote the welfare and well-being of senior citizens in the community.

Mayor Celeste met with representatives of the Barangay Luciente I Senior Citizens Association to discuss the activities being planned for the observance of Elderly Filipino Week.

During the meeting, the association presented its proposed activities for the celebration. Mayor Celeste expressed his full support for the initiative and conveyed his commitment to ensuring a meaningful and successful observance that recognizes the dignity, contributions, and valuable role of senior citizens in the community.
