NOTICE OF ELECTION
SCHOOL GOVERNANCE COUNCIL (SGC) ELECTION
School Year 2026–2029
In accordance with DepEd Order No. 026, s. 2022, Implementing Guidelines on the Establishment of the School Governance Council (SGC), Venancio Alba Elementary School hereby announces the conduct of the School Governance Council (SGC) Election for School Year 2026–2029.
The School Governance Council (SGC) serves as a vital mechanism for participatory school governance by bringing together representatives from various stakeholder groups to collaboratively support school improvement and enhance learner outcomes. All qualified stakeholders are encouraged to actively participate in this democratic process by electing leaders who will uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, collaboration, and shared responsibility in school governance.

Filing of Certificate of Candidacy (COC): July 22–27, 2026
Posting of the Final List of Candidates: July 28, 2026
Conduct of Election and Proclamation of Winners: July 31, 2026 (8:00 A.M.)
Oath-Taking and Assumption of Office: August 3, 2026

✍️ Qualifications of Candidates
To qualify for candidacy, an individual must:
1. Be a duly recognized voting member of the School Governance Council (SGC);
2. Possess the qualifications and satisfy the eligibility requirements prescribed under DepEd Order No. 026, s. 2022, and other applicable DepEd policies and guidelines; and
3. Demonstrate commitment to participatory governance, collaboration, transparency, accountability, and the continuous improvement of the school.

All qualified SGC members are encouraged to exercise their right to vote and actively participate in the election. Your participation is essential in strengthening the School Governance Council and promoting a culture of shared leadership, accountability, transparency, and excellence in education.
Interested candidates may submit their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) to the SGC Election Committee within the prescribed filing period. For inquiries and additional information, please coordinate with the SGC Election Committee of Venancio Alba Elementary School.
