As instructed by Hon. Julius M. Amos, Municipal Mayor and MDRRMC Chairperson, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), pesrsonnel under the leadership of Mr. Satur C. Payangdo, MDRRM Officer, together with the BSU-Buguias Campus (BSU-BC) interns assigned to the office, conducted the installation of road warning signages in Man-asok, Buguias, Benguet.

This initiative was undertaken following the results of the Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA), which identified potential hazards in the area, particularly landslides and falling rocks that may endanger motorists, commuters, and other passersby.

The installation of warning signages serves as a proactive measure to raise public awareness, promote road safety, and help prevent accidents, especially during periods of continuous rains and heavy rainfall.

Sincere appreciation also extends to Tangayab Construction for donating cement in support of this safety initiative.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of the Municipality of Buguias, headed by Hon. Julius M. Amos, Municipal Mayor and MDRRMC Chairperson, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) under the leadership of Mr. Satur C. Payangdo, MDRRM Officer, in partnership with the Office of Civil Defense – Cordillera Administrative Region (OCD-CAR), successfully concluded the 4-Day Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) Training held on September 29 to October 2, 2026 at the Municipal Socio-Cultural and Evacuation Center, Loo, Buguias, Benguet.

The training provided participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in conducting rapid assessment of damages, identifying immediate needs, and generating timely and reliable information to support effective disaster response, recovery, and decision-making.

In celebration of Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) 2026, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office joins with the Local Government Unit of Buguias headed by the Hon. Mayor Julius M. Amos in the Blue Thursday today September 24, 2026.

Under the directives of Hon. Mayor Julius M. Amos, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) personnel, headed by MDRRM Officer Satur C. Payangdo, installed an Early Warning Signage for Landslide-Prone Area at Sitio Cabuguiasan and Nabalicong, Natubleng, Buguias, Benguet on September 18, 2026.

The activity was conducted in coordination and with the assistance of the Barangay Officials.

Gratitude is extended to Tangayab Construction for the donation of cement.
