𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 5-Day Incident Command System (ICS) Position Course Training

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), successfully conducted the 5-Day Incident Command System (ICS) Position Course Training on April 27 – May 01, 2026 at Alpine G’s Lodge and Restaurant, Bekes, Buyacaoan, Buguias, Benguet.

This activity was carried out in partnership with the Civil Defense Cordillera Administrative Region (OCD-CAR), aimed at enhancing the knowledge, coordination, and response capabilities of local responders in managing emergencies and disasters effectively.

The opening of the training was graced by Mayor Julius Amos, and MDRRMC Chairperson, whose leadership continues to strengthen disaster preparedness initiatives in the municipality.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, headed by Hon. Ronald Kimakim, Municipal Vice Mayor, as represented by Hon. Jose Bayas Jr. and Hon. Wilnard Tolida, who formally closed the 5-day training.

Under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Julius M. Amos, MDRRM Chairperson, and through the initiative of the Buguias MDRRMO, headed by MDRRM Officer Satur C. Payangdo, the 5-Day Emergency Responders Course Training was successfully conducted from April 13–17, 2026.

The activity was actively participated in by employees and personnel from the Buguias LGU, Barangay LGUs, 1st Benguet Provincial Mobile Force Company, Buguias District Jail, and Buguias Municipal Police Station, strengthening coordination and enhancing emergency response capabilities across agencies.

Our heartfelt thanksgiving to all partners and stakeholders—Mankayan MDRRMO, Buguias RHU, Buguias-MCTC and Buguias BFP—for their unwavering support and invaluable contribution to the success of this activity. Through their efforts, participants were equipped with essential life-saving skills and knowledge in disaster preparedness and response.

The LGU Buguias, under the leadership of Mayor Julius M. Amos, continues to prioritize the welfare of its constituents by providing transport assistance (MDRRMC Emergency Vehicle and KM Ngayon Na bus and Traviz) exclusively for students traveling from Abatan 90 to LTB and vice versa.

This initiative ensures safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for our students as they pursue their education.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to KM Ngayon Na for their generous support in providing the vehicle used for this program.

Meanwhile, MDRRMO personnel remain on duty, continuously manning the motorist, tourist, and medical assistance desk located in front of the MDRRMO Building in Loo, Buguias, Benguet—ensuring public safety and assistance at all times.

A short morning devotion was also conducted at the MDRRMO Office together with the Municipal Mayor, reminding everyone of the importance of faith, unity, and service in all our endeavors.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Julius M. Amos, proudly presented a plaque of recognition to the Buguias District Jail on March 31, 2026.

The plaque was formally awarded by MDRRM Officer Mr. Satur Payangdo in appreciation of the institution’s unwavering support, cooperation, and commitment to disaster preparedness and community resilience.

During the 1st Semester Barangay Assembly, held on March 27–28, 2026, MDRRMO personnel under the leadership of Mr. Satur C. Payangdo, MDRRM Officer actively participated in assemblies across multiple barangays. On March 27, we joined Barangays Catlubong, Sebang, Baculongan Norte, and Loo. The next day, March 28, we covered Barangays Amlimay, Baculongan Sur, and Abatan.

Key DRRM reporting concepts and strategies were shared to boost community resilience.

On March 25, 2026, MDRRM Officer Satur C. Payangdo attended the School-based Iyaman and Parent Congress at Bad-ayan Integrated School-Bad-ayan, Baculongan Sur, Buguias, Benguet.

In his message, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to the school administration for allowing their students to participate in work immersion programs at the LGU, particularly with the MDRRM Office. This collaboration builds essential skills in disaster risk reduction and preparedness among our youth.

In recognition of their outstanding partnership, we presented the school with a Certificate of Commendation!

Together, we're fostering resilient communities, one partnership at a time. Kudos to Bad-ayan Integrated School!

• Heat exhaustion
• Heat stroke (mapanganib at maaaring ikamatay)

⚠️ Mga Sintomas na Dapat Bantayan:
• Labis na pagpapawis
• Panghihina o pagkahilo
• Pamumulikat
• Mabilis ngunit mahinang pulso

✅ Mga Paraan ng Pag-iwas:
• Limitahan ang paglabas sa tanghaling tapat
• Uminom ng maraming tubig
• Magsuot ng presko at magaan na damit
• Gumamit ng payong o sumbrero

🩺 Unang Lunas:
• Ilipat sa malamig na lugar
• Painumin ng tubig kung kaya
• Lagyan ng malamig na pomento ang katawan
• Dalhin agad sa ospital kung kinakailangan
