Alpha Company of 304RRIBn Mobilizes for HADR Mission in Calumpit

CALUMPIT, BULACAN — When disaster strikes, readiness is measured not by words, but by how quickly people move to help.

On 14 August 2026, Alpha Company of the 304th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (304RRIBn) demonstrated this readiness as it rapidly mobilized personnel for a Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) and relief operation in San Miguel, Calumpit, Bulacan, bringing manpower, discipline, and trained capability to a community affected by the prevailing emergency situation.

Led by LT JOHN CRIST DIZON PA (RES), with the coordination and support of 2LT ANGELA LUZ NAVARRO PA (RES), Alpha Company Executive Officer, the unit deployed two (2) organic squads to augment relief operations and provide essential manpower and security support.

The operation was conducted as part of the unit’s continuing Civil-Military Operations (CMO) and in close coordination with civilian partner stakeholder BULSU KAYAKAP, demonstrating how military preparedness and civilian cooperation can come together when communities need assistance the most.

Operating under the guidance, command, and control of the 304th Community Defense Center (CDC), Bulacan, the Alpha Company personnel immediately carried out their assigned tasks in support of the humanitarian effort.

READINESS IN ACTION

For the reservists of Alpha Company, the mission was more than a deployment—it was an opportunity to put training into action.

The personnel’s ability to operate in a challenging disaster environment was anchored on continuous training in Search, Rescue, and Retrieval operations, which developed their situational awareness, teamwork, discipline, and confidence in responding to emergencies.

In situations where every minute matters, preparation becomes a force multiplier.

The deployment likewise underscored the important role of the Reserve Force as a readily available complement to government and civilian disaster-response mechanisms. Through proper training and sustained readiness, reservists can rapidly transition from their civilian roles to military service when their communities need them.

BEYOND THE UNIFORM

The operation also highlighted the deeper meaning of military service: being prepared to serve not only during times of conflict, but also when Filipino communities are confronted by disasters and humanitarian crises.

The presence of Alpha Company personnel in San Miguel reflected the spirit of Bayanihan—soldiers and civilian partners working together toward a common purpose: helping communities recover, protecting lives, and providing assistance where it is most needed.

The successful mission serves as a reminder that readiness is not declared; it is demonstrated.

It is demonstrated through training before the crisis, discipline during the mission, and commitment when others need help.

As emergencies continue to challenge communities, the 304RRIBn remains committed to maintaining a capable, responsive, and well-trained Reserve Force ready to answer the call of duty.

Because when the call for service comes, readiness must already be there.
