Alpha DRRO Team Backs Environmental Push, Supports Mangrove Planting Drive
Bulacan โ Demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental protection and community service, the Alpha DRRO Team, in their CIVILIAN capacity, actively supported a large-scale mangrove planting initiative under the One Child, One Tree (OCOT).
A total of 1,256 mangrove seedlings were successfully planted through the collective efforts of 36 staff and volunteers from Arcadis Philippines, who spearheaded the activity in collaboration with One Child One Tree.
The initiative underscores a shared vision of environmental stewardship, aiming to restore coastal ecosystems, mitigate the impacts of climate change, and promote sustainable community development. Mangroves, known for their vital role in protecting shorelines from erosion and serving as natural buffers against storm surges, are also crucial habitats for marine biodiversity.
Members of the Alpha DRRO Team provided essential manpower and medical support throughout the activity, ensuring the smooth and efficient planting of seedlings. Their participation highlights the importance of multi-sectoral cooperation in addressing environmental challenges.
The collaboration between civic groups, private sector volunteers, and environmental organizations reflects a growing movement toward collective action in safeguarding natural resources. As climate-related risks continue to rise, initiatives like OCOT serve as a reminder that meaningful change begins with unified, grassroots efforts.
