The OPCDO personnel, in partnership with the Department of Agrarian Reform- Kalinga, facilitated the conduct of a Seminar on Business Entrepreneurship for Cooperatives to the officers, staff, and members of the Balansi Uddoc Credit Cooperative at Purok 1, Bulanao, Tabuk Ctiy, Kalinga.

This seminar aims to capacitate the cooperative in its vision of various business endeavors to inculcate into its cooperative operations in the near future.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue now offers a ONE TIME ABATEMENT PROGRAM to all MICRO TAX PAYERS (individual, associations, cooperatives, etc.) with an annual gross income not exceeding Php 3,000,000.00.

PCDC REORGANIZATION | NEWLY ELECTED OFFICERS

The Provincial Cooperative Development Council (PCDC) of Kalinga successfully conducted its reorganization on August 25, 2026, at Las Vegas Hotel & Restaurant, Dagupan Weste, Tabuk City, Kalinga.

The activity highlighted the presentation of CDA Memorandum Circular No. 2022-03, the status of registered cooperatives in the province, and Executive Order No. 54, Series of 2026, which provides for the reorganization of the PCDC.

The activity culminated in the election of the new set of PCDC officers:
🔹 Chairperson: Arlene Torres Buen-Oyando – OPCDO
🔹 Vice Chairperson: Catherine Lee T. Uera – CCEDO
🔹 Secretary: Jasmin Donaal – DOST
🔹 Treasurer: Marvie M. Talanay – LandBank Tabuk
🔹 Auditor: Rolando Carbonel – FEDCO-EDNL

The newly elected officers are entrusted with the responsibility of steering the Council toward stronger coordination, meaningful partnerships, and responsive programs that will further advance the cooperative movement in Kalinga.

This is in compliance to the mandatory training requirement for small cooperatives and also ensures that the management and officers of the cooperative is knowledgeable and responsive to the various risks related in the operation of a credit cooperative.
