CABAGAN, ISABELA — The DTI R2 Isabela Provincial Office, through Negosyo Center Cabagan, successfully conducted a three-day Entrepreneurial Development Training (EDT) and Financial Literacy Course for fifteen Events Management Services NC III students under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) on February 26–27 and March 2, 2026, at Round Rock Resort, Cansan, Cabagan, Isabela.
The activity aimed to develop the participants’ entrepreneurial mindset and strengthen their financial management skills, equipping them with practical knowledge essential for establishing and sustaining enterprises in the events management industry.
The training was facilitated by Negosyo Center Junior Business Counselors Ms. Anne Jhay O. Brisuela-Ulep of Cabagan and Mr. Ryan G. Ganado of Tumauini. On the first day, Ms. Brisuela-Ulep provided an overview of DTI programs and services, emphasizing the various support mechanisms available to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This was followed by comprehensive Entrepreneurial Development Training sessions, including a discussion on the 7M’s of a Successful Entrepreneur, designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and strategic business perspective among the participants.
The second day focused on Financial Literacy and Financial Management, with Mr. Ganado highlighting the importance of sound financial planning, budgeting, and prudent resource management. The session underscored the critical role of financial discipline in ensuring business sustainability and long-term growth. On the final day, Ms. Brisuela-Ulep delivered a session on the fundamentals of marketing and discussed customer rights and responsibilities, reinforcing the value of ethical business practices, effective market positioning, and customer-centered service in building competitive and resilient enterprises.
Through this initiative, DTI Region 2 – Isabela reaffirms its commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and strengthening local economic development. The training not only enhanced the participants’ technical and managerial competencies but also provided them with a solid foundation for future entrepreneurial endeavors.
