In line with the nationwide observance of National Women’s Month 2026, the Department of Trade and Industry – Negosyo Center Cadiz City conducted a Financial Literacy and Basic Entrepreneurship Seminar on March 18, 2026, at Barangay Daga, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
The activity was facilitated by the Association of Social Science Major Students (ASSMS) of Philippine Normal University, in partnership with the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Daga. This initiative sought to empower women and youth by equipping them with essential financial management skills and foundational entrepreneurial knowledge, in support of this year’s theme: “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.” Mr. Dexter Casumpang, NC TIDA, conducted sessions on the DTI Programs and Services and Basic Entrepreneurship Seminar.
Meanwhile, Mr. David John Rubido, Junior Business Counselor, facilitated the session on Financial Literacy.
The engagement reflects DTI’s ongoing commitment to community empowerment, inclusive growth, and the strengthening of local entrepreneurs.
