The Barangay Council of Salay River 1 extends its most heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Tribu Malampuson (Salay River 1, Salay River 2, Ampenican, and Dinagsaan) for showing grit, heart, and dedication in the recently concluded Kasilay Festival Streetdancing Competition.

Dancing to the beat of Salayano culture, our contigent bagged the following plums:

•Overall 2nd Runner Up
• Best in Streetdancing

This is a testament of what’s to come for our barangay. May we keep our winning ways in the years to come.

REDEMPTION COMPLETE ✅

The Barangay Council of Salay River 1 extends its most heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Paula May Luna Paderanga for being hailed as Miss Kasilay 2026!

Championing cultural and environmental sustainability, Paula bested nine other candidates to claim this year’s coveted crown. She will now take her advocacy further as she will be Salay’s representative in the Miss Kuyamis 2027 pageant.

We would like to thank her team and the many supporters who not only showed up, but believed wholeheartedly in the journey that she took us with. Special thanks goes to the SR1 Sangguniang Kabataan Council and SR1-Pure Youth Organization.

PRODUCTIVE WEEKEND | Youth members of Salay River 1 led by SK Councilor Angel Salvaña and SR1 Youth Organization officers took part in the Coastal Cleanup Activity of the SK Federation in partnership with LGU Salay at Looc, Salay, Misamis Oriental.

This activity is conducted in celebration of the National Zero Waste Month. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the volunteers and to the organizers. 💚
