Herping Honza - Mindanao Reptile Enthusiast I am a nature lover, wildlife enthusiast and field herpetologist currently spending most of the time of the year in Mindanao, the Philippines. My Mission:

This is my official page where I intend to inform and educate on reptiles. This is my official page where I will share not just my findings, but also a lot of valuable informative and educative content. To increase awareness of herpetofauna of the Philippines. To educate and inform. I am convinced that knowledge is power, the power that leads to positive change regarding co-exist

ence of reptiles and humans. I believe that my content will help “protect not just reptiles from people, but also people from reptiles.”

2.) To inform on venomous snakes. How to recognize reptiles that present potential danger to humans. How to behave around them and how to avoid “deadly accidents” and “unfortunate encounters.” In cooperation with medical specialists I plan to inform on first aid, etc.

3.) To share and promote the beauty of reptiles in the form of sharing my findings in the field. From exciting photographic materials to thrilling stories.

4.) To explain the importance of reptiles for the ecosystem.

5.) To present the results of the research on biodiversity of reptiles, mainly in Mindanao and Visayas.

6.) To cooperate with other individuals and organizations. Who is my page intended for:

1.) Any citizen of the Philippines who wants to gain knowledge on reptiles, be informed and be able to recognize venomous species from harmless ones. In this case, knowledge means safety and protection.

3.) Hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.

4.) Farmers, indigenous people and anyone who lives in the countryside, or in any kind of area where there can be found reptiles.

5.) Children and teenagers.

6.) Foreigners who consider travelling to the Philippines and want to know more about local herpetofauna.

7.) Employees of governmental or private organizations and businesses whose scope of work increases the occurrence of encounters with reptiles.

8.) Scientists, herpetologists and field researchers.

9.) Anyone who seeks interesting and informative content on reptiles of the Philippines.
