The Meadows earns spot among best School Papers in the Philippines

The Meadows stands out nationally, named among one the Best Secondary English School Papers at NSPC 2026.

ORMOC CITY — The Meadows, the official publication of Andarayan National High School, has been recognized as one of the Best Secondary School Papers in English along eith the different best schools papers in the different regions of the Philippines during the National SchoolPress Conference 2026 held in Ormoc City.

The award-winning publication is featured in the National exhibit at SM Center Ormoc, together with best school paper in the entire Philippines .

This remarkable achievement history highlights the dedication and excellence of The Meadows editorial staff, whose passion for truthful and impactful storytelling brought pride to their institution.

The success is also attributed to the exceptional mentorship and craftsmanship of the school paper advisers , Marimar Salud, Marijane Lasam, and Jeff Roben Agbisit.

Strong support from school leadership, led by Mrs. Elizabeth P. Ubina and Mr. Carlo M. Caranguian , the school head , the local government of Solana headed by Hon. Meynarrd Z. Carag, the municipal mayor , further propelled the publication to national recognition , the endless support of the entire school and community.

With this milestone, The Meadows continues to bloom as a symbol of integrity, creativity, and student voice on the national stage.

LOOK | The Meadows of Andarayan NHS named among Philippines’ Best School Papers at NSPC 2026

ORMOC CITY — The National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) 2026 officially opened its much-anticipated National School Paper Exhibit on April 14 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at SM Center Ormoc.

Among the standout publications, The Meadows, the official school paper of Andarayan National High School, was recognized as one of the Best School Papers in the Philippines, marking a significant milestone in campus journalism excellence.

The national exhibit showcases a vibrant collection of award-winning student publications from across the country, highlighting the creativity, discipline, and journalistic prowess of young writers nationwide.

The exhibit is open to the public and NSPC delegates from April 14 to 16, offering visitors a closer look at the country’s finest school publications.

School Paper In !❤️

The latest issue of “The Meadows,” the official publication of Andarayan National High School, was successfully distributed to students.

The release highlights the creativity and dedication of student writers while showcasing the school’s achievements, fostering pride and unity within the community.

Notably, the publication is set to join the roster of national paper winners and awardees in the upcoming National Schools Press Conference 2026 in Ormoc City this April 13-18, 2026.

ANHS holds Parent-Teacher Conference and State of the School Address

SOLANA, CAGAYAN . March 17, 2026 Andarayan National High School successfully conducted its Fourth Quarter Parent-Teacher Conference cm State of the School Address on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the school gymnasium, bringing together parents, teachers, and stakeholders in a unified effort to support learners’ development.

With the theme, “Nurturing Excellence Through Partnership: Where Support Meets Success,” the activity emphasized the vital role of collaboration between the school and the community in achieving quality education.

Mrs. Ma. Lo**ta G. Tumaliuan, Head Teacher III, delivered the welcome remarks, setting a positive tone for the gathering.

Jennifer Lou B. Abuzo shared an inspiring “Thought for the Day,” while Robert B. Balagan conducted the checking of attendance among the participants.

A highlight of the event was the State of the School Address delivered by School Principal II, Carlo M. Caranguian. In his address, he presented updates on the school’s performance, ongoing programs, and future plans aimed at improving educational outcomes and school facilities.

In addition , the program also featured the Presentation of Accomplishment Reports, where key school organizations shared their achievements. Atty. John Michael M. Bassig, SSLG Adviser, presented updates on student leadership initiatives, while Elizabeth P. Ubiña reported on the accomplishments of the school paper. Marcos B. Adduru Jr., GPTA President, provided insights into the projects and contributions of the parents’ association.

An open forum followed, allowing parents and stakeholders to raise concerns, ask questions, and provide feedback. The activity concluded with an acknowledgment message delivered by Nilda Iringan, GPTA Vice President.

Moreover ,the successful conduct of the conference highlighted the school’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and strengthened partnership with parents and stakeholders in fostering a supportive learning environment for all students.

The Meadows ranks 4th overall in RSPC 2026 Best Secondary English School Papers

TUMAUINI, ISABELA — Andarayan National High School publications earned multiple honors during the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2026 Awarding of Best School Papers, held at the Rodante Albano Astrodome on January 31, 2026, showcasing the school’s strong and consistent performance in campus journalism at the regional level.

Leading the achievements was The Meadows, the Secondary English publication of Andarayan National High School (Solana North), which was adjudged 4th Overall Best Secondary English School Paper in Region II, from the 160 school paper entries in Secondary level, marking a significant milestone for the publication and the school.

Guided by School Paper Advisers Jeff Roben D. Agbisit, Marimar Salud, and Marijane Lasam, the Editor-in Chief Aber Paul Buquel, Editorial Staff of the publicationand under the supportive leadership of the school Principal Mr. Carlo M. Caranguian and Mrs. Ma.Lo**ta G. Tumaliuan,Head Teacher III, with the heartfelt and unending support of Subject Coordinators Mrs. Elizabeth P. Ubina (English) and Mrs. Lucia Telado (Filipino).

The Meadows secured several major awards: 2nd Place in Best Lay-out and Design, 6th Place in Best Feature Page, 7th Place in Best News Page, and 9th Place in Best Sports Page, reflecting its consistency across key journalistic sections.

Meanwhile, Ang Gabay, the Secondary Filipino publication of Andarayan National High School, likewise earned recognitions at the same event. With the guidance of School Paper Advisers Nerissa De Asis and Renessa Mamuri, the Editor- in Chief Peach Ashkey Taguba and Editorial Staff , the publication placed 6th in Best Science and Technology Page and 9th in Best News Page, further contributing to the school’s success.

The accomplishments were made possible not only through the dedication and discipline of the student journalists and advisers but also through the financial and logistical support of the Local Government Unit of Solana, headed by Hon. Meynard “Jojo” Carag, Municipal Mayor. Support was also extended by Sangguniang Bayan Member Hon. Rodrigo De Asis and CD3 Board Member Hon. Japo De Asis, whose assistance helped ensure the school’s participation and preparedness for the regional competition.

With its 4th Overall finish in the Secondary English category, The Meadows is set to represent the Municipality of Solana and Region II in the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) 2026, scheduled to be held in Ormoc City, Leyte this April, carrying with it the hopes of the school, the municipality , division and the region as it competes on the national stage.

Andarayan NHS publications earns multiple honors at RSPC 2026

TUMAUINI, ISABELA — Andarayan National High School publications earned multiple recognitions during the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2026 Awarding of Best School Papers, held at the Tumauini Community Center on January 30, 2026, highlighting the school’s strong showing in campus journalism at the regional level.

Leading the school’s achievements was The Meadows, the Secondary English publication of Andarayan National High School (Solana North). Guided by School Paper Advisers Jeff Roben D. Agbisit, Marimar Salud, Marijane Lasam, the dedication of editorial staff and under the leadership of School Head Carlo M. Caranguian, the subject coordiantors Ms. Elizabeth P. Ubina and Mrs .Lucia Telado .

The publication secured

2nd Place in Best in Lay-out and Design,
6th in Best Feature Page,
7th in Best News Page, and
9th in Best Sports Page,
reflecting the publication’s consistency across major journalistic sections.

Meanwhile, Ang Gabay, the Secondary Filipino publication of Andarayan National High School, also garnered recognitions at the same event.
