July 31, 2026 | The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Laguna Provincial Office in partnership with City Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office (CCLDO) of Cabuyao City, strengthened the operational readiness and capacity to respond to unexpected disruptions of Local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and primary cooperatives in Cabuyao City.

The webinar highlighted that proactive risk planning is essential for safeguarding enterprise assets and minimizing operational downtime during emergencies. By equipping local leaders with actionable recovery strategies, the initiative aimed to ensure that Cabuyao’s cooperative and MSME sectors remain productive and responsive even during times of crisis.

July 30, 2026 | The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI Laguna) successfully conducted a seminar for Young Entrepreneurs on Food Safety for the Food Industry at Paete Science and Business College, Inc. in Pagsanjan, Laguna.

The symposium was attended by Grade 11 Technical-Professional students and Grade 12 Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) students. The activity aimed to prepare future entrepreneurs by equipping them with essential knowledge on entrepreneurship, food safety, business registration, and consumer awareness.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

The 2026 Cavite MSMEs Business Conference, with the theme "Empowering MSMEs through Innovation, Resilience, and Sustainability in a Time of Economic Uncertainty," was successfully held on July 31, 2026, at the New Cavite Provincial Government Center, Brgy. Cabuco, Trece Martires City, Cavite. The conference brought together more than 150 MSMEs, industry stakeholders, business support organizations, and government representatives from across the province to strengthen the local MSME sector through knowledge-sharing and collaboration.

The milestone event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Cavite Provincial Government, led by the Office of the Provincial Cooperatives Development Officer (OPCDO), in partnership with the Cavite SME Development Council (CaSMEDC) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cavite.

The opening program featured messages from DTI Region IV-A Regional Director Marissa C. Argente, who reaffirmed the Department's commitment to empowering MSMEs and local officials led by Governor Francisco Gabriel D. Remulla represented by Ms. Myrachel Cuadra, Board Members Camille Lauren del Rosario & Jhon Kester Aldrin Anacan who emphasized the value of collaboration in advancing inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Cavite.

The conference featured a series of insightful keynote presentations and technical sessions that equipped participants with practical strategies for navigating today's evolving business environment.

Through the continued collaboration of government agencies, industry partners, and the business community, Cavite remains committed to creating an enabling environment where MSMEs can innovate, grow, and contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic development.

The seminar also introduced programs and services offered by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), demonstrating how these initiatives can support aspiring and existing entrepreneurs in growing their businesses. Participants gained valuable insights into the fundamentals of costing and pricing, enabling them to set competitive prices while ensuring profitability. The seminar concluded with a session on consumer education, emphasizing the rights and responsibilities of both consumers and business owners.

July 29, 2026 | DTI Batangas concluded the MSME Conference 2026, the culminating event of MSME Week 2026, in partnership with the Batangas Provincial Government and the Batangas MSME Development Council.

The event was led by DTI CALABARZON Regional Director Marissa Argente and DTI Batangas Provincial Director Leila Cabreros, bringing together agency leaders, industry partners, and entrepreneurs in celebrating the resilience, innovation, and success of Batangueño MSMEs.

Representing Batangas City Mayor Hon. Marvey A. Marino, Hon. Councilor Ailin Grace Dimacuha delivered the welcome remarks, highlighting the resilience and competitiveness of MSMEs and commending the strong collaboration among stakeholders, in continuously empowering local enterprises.

On behalf of Batangas Governor Hon. Vilma Santos-Recto, Ms. Maria Theresa Gernale, Assistant Department Head of the Provincial Cooperative, Livelihood and Enterprise Development Office (PCLEDO), expressed the Provincial Government's unwavering support for MSMEs through programs and initiatives that foster sustainable business growth.

The conference also featured an inspiring talk from Mr. Jherald Espeleta, owner of Itaewon Café and active member of PCCI–Lipa City, who shared his entrepreneurial journey under the theme "Asenso: Gabay sa Tagumpay ng Batangueño MSMEs." Success stories were likewise shared by Ms. Irene Becerra of Vin Vie Integrated Farm Corp. and Ms. Sevilla Magpantay of Rambelle Food Products, showcasing how DTI Batangas' programs have helped expand and strengthen their businesses.

A highlight of the event was the recognition of the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program Batch 01-2026 Graduates, led by Ms. Karla Yapyuco, Provincial KMME Focal Person. Special recognition was also given to the Top 3 Business Improvement Plan Presenters:

Ms. Maria Carmen Garcia, Chief Trade and Industry Development Specialist, presented the Special Awards recognizing outstanding Batangueño MSMEs and valued industry partners.
