The BJMP Regional Office CALABARZON commenced the week through its Monday Flag Raising Ceremony, attended by Regional Office personnel.

Highlighting the ceremony was the Kick-Off Message for the 15th BJMP Community Relations Service (CRS) Month delivered by JINSP MARY LOUISE M MOYANO, Chief of the Regional Community Relations Service Section. Her message underscored the importance of responsible communication and meaningful engagement in strengthening the Bureau’s connection with the community.

Meanwhile, the October birthday celebrants joined in the traditional blowing of cake candles, adding a warm and celebratory moment to the gathering as the BJMP CALABARZON family welcomed another month together.

STRATEGIC COORDINATION | NAIC MUNICIPAL JAIL

On October 3, 2026, at the Magallanes LGU, JCINSP KIM ALLEN R. CRISTAL, Jail Warden of Naic Municipal Jail, initiated a strategic coordination with
Richard Thomas F. Joson, Assistant Secretary for Public Safety of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), during the Inauguration and Blessing Ceremony of the Standard Type B/C Magallanes Municipal Police Station.

The engagement served as an avenue to discuss mutual concerns, operational challenges, and areas of collaboration involving public safety, security, and custodial management. The coordination likewise emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-agency linkages, enhancing information-sharing and operational coordination, and fostering a unified approach among government agencies in addressing emerging security and public safety concerns.

The meeting further highlighted the commitment of Naic Municipal Jail to maintain strong partnerships with local government units, other law enforcement agencies and stakeholders in support of effective jail management, personnel and facility security, emergency preparedness and the safe and secure custody of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

As part of the celebration of the 15th BJMP Community Relations Service (CRS) Month, the BJMP CALABARZON Region, through the Regional Community Relations Service Section (RCRSS), together with the Biñan City Jail Male and Female Dormitories, participated in a radio guesting at Radyo Biñan, headed by Ms. Maria R Binacua, with Mr. Ramoncito A Reyes as interviewer.

The guesting served as an avenue to promote public awareness and understanding of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), including its mandate, responsibilities, programs, and initiatives both within jail facilities and in partnership with the community. The discussion also featured the activities lined up for the 15th BJMP CRS Month, including the National Correctional Consciousness Week and the 9th Gawad Penolohiya, as well as other relevant programs and efforts of the Bureau.

Through responsible communication and meaningful community engagement, our region continues to strengthen public understanding, foster partnerships, and bring the Bureau closer to the communities it serves.

Marking the 37th National Statistics Month (NSM) this October 2026, the BJMP Regional Office CALABARZON, through the Regional Program Development Division, led the hanging of the NSM commemorative tarpaulin at the Regional Office.

Carrying the theme, “Tuklas Pilipinas: Statistics as Beacon Towards Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Tourism,” this year’s celebration underscores how statistics provide essential information for understanding realities, identifying trends, and guiding sound planning and decision-making.

At BJMP CALABARZON Region, the meaningful use of data and statistics supports evidence-based planning, program development, monitoring, and evaluation—helping ensure that initiatives are responsive to the needs of the organization and the communities it serves.

In observance of Elderly Filipino Week 2026, celebrated from October 1 to 7, the BJMP Regional Office CALABARZON through the Regional Welfare and Development Division, displayed a commemorative tarpaulin in support of the nationwide celebration and the advocacy of the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC).

Anchored on the theme, “Nakakatandang Pilipino: May Halaga at Karapatan, May Boses at Ambag sa Bayan,” the observance recognizes the value, rights, voices, and meaningful contributions of older Filipinos to their families, communities, and the nation.

Through this observance, BJMP CALABARZON Region joins in promoting respect, inclusion, and recognition of older persons as valued members of society.
