CIDG RAIDS WAREHOUSE, NETS 8 SUSPECTS FOR ALLEGED COUNTERFEIT SLIMMING COFFEE IN BULACAN

On October 6, 2026 at around 2:30 PM to 6:55 PM, the CIDG Northern District Field Unit together with representatives of the trademark owner, in coordination with Bulacan Police Provincial Office implemented Search Warrant for violation of Republic Act No. 8293 (Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines) at a warehouse located in Brgy. Parulan, Plaridel, Bulacan that resulted in the arrest of eight suspects, and confiscation of finished products of alleged counterfeit and trademark infringing slimming coffee; raw materials, packaging materials, and production and manufacturing equipment - with an estimated value of ₱6,100,000.00.

In a report submitted to the CIDG Director, PMGEN Robert AA Morico II, it stated that the arrested eight suspects are comprised of a male Chinese national, five Filipinos and two Filipinas - all employees of the facility, they were caught while in possession and control of the allegedly trademark infringed slimming coffee, and allegedly producing and manufacturing the slimming coffee, without the authorization of the trademark owner.

The CIDG Director emphasized that the primary purpose of Republic Act No. 8293, also known as the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, is to protect and secure the exclusive rights of scientists, inventors, artists, and other gifted citizens to their intellectual property and creations, particularly when it is beneficial to the people. He further stressed that it is the policy of the State to strengthen the enforcement of intellectual property laws and related regulations throughout the Philippines.

Because trademark- infringing or counterfeit food products like slimming coffee may bypassed strict evaluation by regulatory bodies, these might be laced with highly toxic or banned chemical substances to force rapid weight loss- these can pose a severe, multi-faceted threat to public health and consumer safety.

The CIDG leadership lauds PCOL John K Guiagui, the Regional Chief of CIDG National Capital Region Field Unit, and the CIDG Northern District Field Unit led by PLTCOL Benedick S Poblete, for busting the alleged counterfeit slimming coffee, and stopping its manufacturing. This underscores the CIDG’s commitment in enforcing all the laws, and arresting all violators- across the country.

CIDG NABS SIBLINGS FOR ALLEGED ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF 4 FI****MS IN NUEVA ECIJA

In line with the focused program thrust of the Chief, PNP, PGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez, Jr, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group intensified its campaign against loose fi****ms.

On October 6, 2026 at around 5:00 PM, the CIDG Nueva Ecija Provincial Field Unit together with Cabanatuan City Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Fi****ms and Am******on Regulation Act) in Brgy. Valdefuente, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija that resulted in the arrest of two male suspects for alleged illegal possession of four fi****ms —M16 r***e, caliber 45 pistol, caliber 40 pistol, and caliber 380 pistol; magazines and live am******on.

In a report submitted to CIDG Director, PMGEN Robert AA Morico II, it stated that the two suspects are siblings- the younger one was caught while dealing and selling M16 r***e, caliber 40 pistol, and caliber 380 pistol- without the necessary document- permit to carry said items outside his residence, while the older brother was caught while in the possession of alleged unlicensed caliber 45 pistol.

The CIDG leadership lauds PCOL Grant A Gollod, the Regional Chief of CIDG Regional Field Unit 3, and the CIDG Nueva Ecija Provincial Field Unit led by PLTCOL Neilmar T Retana for remarkably confiscating four fi****ms - at once. This underscores the Unit’s commitment in preventing crimes by accounting and removing from circulation and use all instruments of killing and violence.

10 ARRESTED, 22 VICTIMS RESCUED IN WEEK-LONG PNP CYBERCRIME OPERATIONS

Under the leadership of PGen Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief, Philippine National Police (PNP), the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) arrested 10 individuals and rescued 22 victims in cybercrime-related operations conducted nationwide from September 18 to 24, 2026.

Six of the arrests were made by virtue of warrants of arrest, while four resulted from entrapment operations. The operations involved investigation, cyber patrolling, intelligence monitoring, and coordination with complainants and other law enforcement agencies.

PGen Nartatez said the PNP will continue to respond to cybercrime cases while ensuring that victims are properly assisted.

“Online threats can affect people without warning, and our response has to keep pace. We will continue to act on complaints, pursue leads, and provide assistance to those affected. Ang mahalaga, hindi natin hinahayaan na mapabayaan ang mga biktima,” PGen Nartatez said.

The operations are part of the PNP’s Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) under the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly in addressing emerging forms of crime and improving police response to incidents involving digital platforms.

The PNP continues to strengthen its cybercrime capabilities in support of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s call for effective law enforcement and safer communities. The efforts are likewise aligned with the vision of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman,” extending police service and assistance to the public even in the digital environment.

CIDG CAPTURES 26 FUGITIVES IN 24 HOURS

In compliance with the focused program thrust of the Chief of the Philippine National Police, POLICE GENERAL JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ JR, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) intensified its OPLAN PAGTUGIS- manhunt operation against wanted persons and fugitives nationwide.

In just 24 hours- October 5, 2026, the CIDG conducted an nationwide manhunt operations that resulted in the arrest of 26 fugitives - 10 in Luzon, 5 in Visayas, and 11 in Mindanao- all by virtue of Warrants of Arrest for Frustrated Murder, Homicide, Frustrated Homicide, Attempted Homicide, R**e, Qualified R**e, Statutory R**e, Acts of Lasciviousness, Qualified Theft, Theft, Carnapping, Estafa, violations of Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Fi****ms and Am******on Regulation Act), Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), and Republic Act No. 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004), among others.

PMGEN ROBERT AA MORICO II, the Director of CIDG stated that among the 26 arrested accused- 5 are tagged as Regional Level Most Wanted Persons of Regions 1, 7, 9 and 12; 4 are Provincial Level MWPs of Pampanga, Davao Oriental and Davao De Oro. No bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of 8 accused.

The CIDG leadership commends all the relentless manhunt teams of the Detection and Special Operating Unit (DSOU), Regional Field Units 1, 3, 4A, 4B, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12 and NCR for the successful rounding up of 26 fugitives - in just 24 hours. PNP DELIVERS SUSTAINED RESULTS IN SEPTEMBER NATIONWIDE OPERATIONS

Under the leadership of Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief, Philippine National Police (PNP), police units nationwide sustained their operations against illegal drugs, loose fi****ms, wanted persons, and smuggling activities throughout September 2026, resulting in significant seizures and arrests.

From September 1 to 30, the PNP conducted 5,045 anti-illegal drug operations that led to the arrest of 5,812 persons and the confiscation of illegal drugs with an estimated street value of ₱710.66 million. Among the seized items were approximately 96.42 kilograms of shabu, 108.28 kilograms of dried ma*****na leaves, and 28,675 ma*****na plants.

The PNP also accounted for 8,447 wanted persons during the month, including 2,254 persons listed as most wanted and 6,193 other wanted persons, through operations carried out by police offices and units across the country.

In the campaign against loose fi****ms, police operations in September resulted in the arrest of 979 persons and the recovery, surrender, or confiscation of 6,381 fi****ms in violation of Republic Act 10591. Another 913 fi****ms were turned in for safekeeping, giving gun owners an opportunity to comply with the law through proper procedures.

Meanwhile, the PNP recorded 3,140 anti-smuggling operations during the month, resulting in 564 arrests and the confiscation of smuggled goods and machinery estimated at ₱1.36 billion.
Chief PNP PGen Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the September figures reflect the importance of keeping police operations focused on actual public-safety concerns while ensuring that every action is carried out within the law.

“The numbers matter, but what matters more is how we get those results. We want our people to see police operations that are deliberate, properly coordinated, and grounded on the law. Trabaho natin ito araw-araw, and we will continue doing it with care for both public safety and the rights of every person involved,” PGen Nartatez said.

The September accomplishments form part of the PNP's Focused Agenda, particularly the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO), which calls for police resources and personnel to be directed toward priority concerns and operations that produce concrete results. These efforts support the administration's peace and security agenda under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The PNP will continue to sustain lawful and intelligence-guided police operations while encouraging the public to report information on illegal drugs, wanted persons, loose fi****ms, and other activities that may threaten community safety. These efforts are being carried out as part of the PNP's continuing pursuit of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”
