In line with strengthening disaster preparedness and promoting a culture of safety, the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2026 was successfully conducted at San Pedro Elementary School. The activity was marked by the active and enthusiastic participation of both students and teachers, demonstrating their commitment to learning and practicing proper earthquake response procedures.

Throughout the drill, participants effectively applied safety protocols, highlighting the importance of readiness and coordination in times of emergencies. The exercise not only enhanced awareness but also reinforced the value of discipline and presence of mind during disaster situations.

This initiative was spearheaded by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Cabusao, under the leadership of Jose V. Reyes III (LDRRMO II), in collaboration with key response clusters, including the PNP Cabusao, Bureau of Fire Protection of Cabusao, and the Rural Health Unit of Cabusao, whose support ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the activity.

The realization of this undertaking was made possible through the unwavering support of the Municipal Mayor of Cabusao, Hon. Jose Gil A. Aguilar Jr., whose dedication to strengthening community resilience continues to be instrumental in promoting public safety.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Cabusao, headed by Ma. Josefa L. Andes, LGOO VI together with Municipal Mayor Hon. Jose Gil A. Aguilar Jr. and the Punong Barangay Representative Liga ng mga Barangay President, Hon. Hermoso P. Candelaria participated in the ISAROG Luminary Awards 2024: Recognizing Governance Trailblazers held on June 15, 2026, at the DTC Hall, Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur.

During the awarding ceremony, the Municipality of Cabusao was recognized for its outstanding performance in local governance, receiving the 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬, big thank you to Ms. Melody A. Ngayong ika-12 ng Hunyo, 2026, ang DILG Cabusao Municipal Operations Office ay nagpupugay sa kasaysayan ng ating kalayaan at sa katatagan ng lahing Pilipino. Ang kalayaang ipinaglaban ng ating mga ninuno ay ang pundasyon ng ating pagkakaisa at pag-unlad sa kasalukuyan. Sa ating patuloy na paglilingkod sa bayan, katuwang ang bawat lokal na pamahalaan at pamayanan, nananatili ang ating komitment na itaguyod ang katarungan, kapayapaan, at kaunlaran sa bawat sulok ng Cabusao. Huwag nating kalimutan na ang kalayaan ay pinangangalagaan sa bawat tamang kilos, tapat na serbisyo, at pagmamahal sa kapwa.

✅ Mga libro at learning resources
✅ Pasilidad at kagamitan
✅ Pang-edukasyong pananaliksik
✅ Sports development
Mas pinalawak pa ito sa ilalim ng DEPED-DBM-DILG JMC No. 01, s. 2025 upang maisama ang mga programa tungkol sa:

Over the last three days, the DILG’s Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) has brought our community together to identify local needs and lay the groundwork for sustainable peace and development. It’s been an incredible journey of listening and collaborative planning for a brighter future.

The program reached its peak on the final day with a high-impact Solution-Seeking Dialogue featuring active participation from various National Government Agencies (NGAs) and partner organizations, including the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Commission on Elections (COMELEC), TESDA, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), PhilHealth, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Philippine Army, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Caritas Diocese of Libmanan, Camarines Sur. By connecting our community’s specific gaps directly with agency resources, we are turning local challenges into actionable solutions.

Together, we’re building a more resilient and inclusive Barcelonita!

Ngayong taon ay ang 30th Observance of the Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week na may temang: “𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗼, 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗼: 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗮.”

Layunin nitong bigyang-pansin ang mahahalagang isyung nakaaapekto sa mga batang babaeng Pilipino—tulad ng adolescent pregnancy, child and early marriage, HIV at iba pang STIs, at responsableng pagpapamilya.

Katuwang ang Council for the Welfare of Children at lahat ng ahensya ng pamahalaan, patuloy ang Philippine Commission on Women sa pagsulong ng mga polisiya at programang magtataguyod ng karapatan, proteksyon, at kapakanan ng mga batang babae tungo sa isang ligtas, malaya, at pantay na kinabukasan.
