𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗔𝗦

August 25, 2026 marked a truly historic day for the National Academy of Sports (NAS) as the Academy celebrated three major milestones that signal continued growth, progress, and greater opportunities for our Filipino student-athletes.

𝙁𝙄𝙍𝙎𝙏-𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝙉𝘼𝙎 𝘽𝙊𝘼𝙍𝘿 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙍𝙐𝙎𝙏𝙀𝙀𝙎 𝙈𝙀𝙀𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙊𝙉 𝘾𝘼𝙈𝙋𝙐𝙎

The NAS Board of Trustees (BOT) held its first-ever meeting at the NAS Campus, attended by Usec. Malcolm Garma, representing Department of Education Secretary and BOT Chairperson Sonny Angara; Philippine Sports Commission Chairman and BOT Vice Chairperson Patrick “Pato” Gregorio; Commissioner Dr. Desiderio Apag III representing Commission on Higher Education Chairperson Dr. Shirley Agrupis, and NAS Executive Director Assoc. Prof. Francis Carlos B. Diaz.

The Board also welcomed two new private sector representatives, PFF President John Gutierrez and President of Vértere Global Solutions Inc. and A7 Recruitment Corp. Hans Bayaborda, following their successful election to the Board of Trustees.

𝙏𝙐𝙍𝙉𝙊𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙋𝙃𝘼𝙎𝙀 2 𝘽𝙐𝙄𝙇𝘿𝙄𝙉𝙂
The day also marked the turnover of the Phase 2 Building, led by BCDA President and CEO Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang. These facilities will further strengthen NAS’ capacity to provide world-class training, sports science support, and development opportunities for our student-athletes.

𝙂𝙍𝙊𝙐𝙉𝘿𝘽𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙋𝙃𝘼𝙎𝙀 3 𝙎𝙏𝙐𝘿𝙀𝙉𝙏-𝘼𝙏𝙃𝙇𝙀𝙏𝙀 𝘿𝙊𝙍𝙈𝙄𝙏𝙊𝙍𝙔

Adding to the day’s milestones was the groundbreaking and capsule-laying ceremony for the Phase 3 Building—the Student-Athletes Dormitory, bringing NAS one step closer to providing a more complete and supportive environment where young Filipino athletes can learn, train, live, and excel.

From governance and leadership to world-class facilities and student-athlete development, August 25 was a defining day for NAS.

Beyond buildings, we are building a legacy—creating opportunities, cultivating excellence, and empowering the next generation of Filipino student-athletes to rise, compete, and bring pride to the nation.

Isang makabuluhang pagsalubong sa araw ang isinagawang pagbubukas ng linggo kasama ang ating masisipag na mga g**o, kawani at mga mag-aaral na atleta na buong pagmamalaking nagsuot ng kani-kanilang Filipiniana, Maria Clara, Barong Tagalog, Baro’t Saya ng mga pangkat etniko, tradisyunal at katutubong kasuotang kumakatawan sa iba’t ibang pangkat etnolingguwistiko sa Pilipinas. bahagi ng sama-samang pakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2026, na may temang “𝑾𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒐 𝒂𝒕 𝑨𝑰: 𝑲𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒌𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒂 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒔𝒊𝒌 𝒂𝒕 𝑻𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒂 𝒀𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒈 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏“. 🫶✨

𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | The National Academy of Sports was thrilled to welcome 𝙀𝙣𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙤 𝙆𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙞 𝘼𝙨𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙣 of the 🇺🇸USA Badminton Team and 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙪𝙚𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙧 of the 🇲🇹Malta Badminton Team for a meaningful visits with our young athletes.
