(Part 3) Grabe, nag-aalab ang puso at diwa ng mga manggagawang panlipunan!!
On March 26, 2026, the Social Work Department came together once again for Day 2 of World Social Work Week through a meaningful and joyful Socialization Night. The day started with simple preparations and shared moments, building excitement for what was ahead. As the event began with registration, a red carpet entrance, and smiling faces all around.
The heartfelt messages from Prof. Marmie B. Laguda and Dr. Jennifer P. Benliro reminded everyone why we chose this path, to serve with compassion and purpose.
As students from different year levels took the stage, each presentation reflected not just talent, but stories, effort, and genuine passion for social work.
Mr. Robert L. Perez of the BSSW Faculty introduced keynote speaker Ms. Jee Ara B. Buenafe, RSW. Her words didnโt just inspire, they connected, resonating deeply with every future social workers.
As the evening continued, partner agencies were recognized, reminding us that behind every success in social work is collaboration and community. The Solidarity Dinner, paired with the elegant cotillion, created a space not just for celebration, but for appreciation and togetherness.
Prof. Cathy Joy C. Bargo delivered an emotional message because the socialization night was a success.
The closing remarks of Prof. Raul D. Bunda left everyone with a sense of direction and renewed commitment.
More than just memories, we leave with a deeper commitment, to serve, to listen, and to stand for those who need us most. With Mr. James Roy Dusaban and Ms. Khaz-JP Padilla guiding us as hosts, the event felt warm, genuine, and full of shared laughter and connection.
As the program transitioned into the socialization proper, an amazing DJ, one of the Social Work alumni, brought the energy even higher. Everyone enjoyed every beat of the music, truly living out the essence of a
Socialization Night.
The best night ever!!
