BARANGAY OFFICIAL ARRESTED IN BADIANGAN FOR ILLEGAL DRUG POSSESSION

Santa Barbara, Iloilo -- A barangay kagawad was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Badiangan, Iloilo, on October 10, 2025, alias "Ladog," 25, was caught with 16 grams of suspected shabu.

The operation was conducted by Station Drug Enforcement Team of Badiangan Municipal Police Station led by Police Captain Jorge L. Lenantud, Chief of Police, at 6:30 AM in Brgy. Indorohan, Badiangan, Iloilo.

The suspect sold one heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer and was caught with five more sachets, and buy-bust money in his possession.

The operation stemmed from information provided by a concerned citizen regarding the suspect's illegal drug activities. After over two months of monitoring, operatives confirmed "Ladog's" involvement in illegal drugs, sourcing his supply from Iloilo City and distributing it in Badiangan municipality.

The suspect is currently in the custody of the Badiangan MPS and will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police Colonel Bayani M. Razalan, Provincial Director of IPPO, commended the Badiangan MPS for their hard work and dedication in neutralizing a target. He also expressed gratitude to the Ilonggo community for their continued trust and cooperation.
