Ini nga pagpatuman kabahin sang pagpalig-on sang 7-Point Reform Agenda ni LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, ilabi na ang mas striktu sa pagpatuman sang seguridad kag disiplina sa dalan.

Ka-upod sa sini nga pagpatuman ang paggiya kag suporta ni Regional Director Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II kag Assistant Regional Director Jeck D. Being in a hurry to get to work, or finish an important transaction, is never a free pass to ignore traffic rules.

That was the message of Land Transportation Office Region-VI (LTO-6) Director Atty. Gaudioso P. Geduspan II as he renewed his call for motorists to obey traffic laws, particularly those whose livelihood depends on keeping a valid driver’s license.

Director Geduspan issued the reminder after the motorcycle rider who went viral for refusing to yield to pedestrians at a crosswalk in Iloilo City on July 27 appeared at his office to submit his written answer to a Show Cause Order issued in connection with the incident.

“Being in a hurry to work, or any transaction, does not give you the license to disregard traffic rules and regulations,” Director Geduspan told the motorist.

The rider admitted that he disregarded the pedestrian lane and proceeded despite a pedestrian already crossing. He explained that he was in a hurry that day to pick up parcels for delivery. He apologized for the violation and assured Director Geduspan that he would not repeat the same mistake.

The incident was caught on video by another motorist along Diversion Road in Mandurriao, Iloilo City. Several vehicles had stopped to give pedestrians the right of way at the crossing.

The motorcycle rider, however, continued through the pedestrian lane even as people were already crossing.

The situation took a more dramatic turn moments later when one of the pedestrians struck the rider on the head after the motorcycle passed through the crosswalk. The video quickly spread online, drawing mixed reactions from netizens.

Director Geduspan also underscored the basic traffic rule pedestrians have the right of way once they step onto a designated crossing.

He also reminded the rider that having a driver’s license comes with a responsibility—not only to comply with traffic laws but also to help keep fellow road users safe.

The LTO-6 Chief directed the Regional Office's Intelligence and Investigation Unit to evaluate and resolve the case based on the allegations stated in the Show Cause Order and the rider’s written response.

He further reminds motorists that saving a few seconds on the road should never come at the expense of another person’s safety.

Magsugod ang nationwide crackdown sang LTO batok sa fake/counterfeit plates kag mga unauthorized improvised plates.

✅ Improvised/Temporary Plate nga may nagakaigo nga awtorisasyon sang LTO kag nagasunod sa tanan nga ginapatuman nga specifications kag rekisitos:

Alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular No. 129, ang lahat ng tanggapan ng LTO-NCR ay SARADO SA PUBLIKO at inaatasang magpatupad ng alternative work arrangement sa ika-19 ng Agosto 2026 bunsod ng tuluy-tuloy na pagbugso ng hanging habagat at bilang pagtugon sa mga Heavy Rainfall Warnings na inilabas ng Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
