The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay San Mateo invites all interested and qualified youth to participate in the upcoming Linggo ng Kabataan (LNK) 2026. 💛

This celebration aims to encourage youth participation, leadership, camaraderie, community involvement, and the development of the skills and talents of the young people of Barangay San Mateo.

👥 ELIGIBILITY
All youth residents of Barangay San Mateo, ages 15–30 years old, are encouraged to participate.

📅 DATE: AUGUST 15, 2026
📍 VENUE/LOCATION: PLAZA TRIUMPH
⏰ TIME: 7:00 AM

ACTIVITIES
• Urugyag 2026 - 1:00 PM

🍽️ FREE SNACKS & LUNCH
Complimentary snacks and lunch will be provided to registered participants.

We encourage all eligible youth of Barangay San Mateo to take part in this meaningful celebration and make the most of this opportunity to connect, learn, participate, and showcase their talents.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: The top 10 Outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Councils were recognized during the Gawad Kabataan Awards held as part of the PPSK Night at Kan Gara Gymnasium on Sunday, July 12.

The awardees are:

• SK Cogon
• SK West Visoria
• SK San Mateo
• SK Balilit
• SK Ponong
• SK Caghalo
• SK Sagkahan
• SK Pangna
• SK Libo
• SK Tangnan

Said award recognized SK councils that demonstrated excellence in governance and leadership, youth participation and engagement, program and project implementation, financial management, transparency and accountability, and capacity development.

Through perseverance, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellence, we were able to present a performance that celebrated the richness of our Filipino cultural heritage and the enduring spirit of our communities.

We extend our sincerest appreciation to our choreographer, organizers, sangguniang kabataan officials, families, friends, and all those who generously offered their support, encouragement, and confidence throughout this journey. Your invaluable contributions have been instrumental in making this achievement possible.

While we are deeply honored by this recognition, we value even more the experience, friendships, and lessons gained along the way. This milestone reminds us that true success is measured not only by awards received but also by the unity we foster, the values we uphold, and the pride with which we preserve and promote our cultural traditions.

As we celebrate this accomplishment, we reaffirm our commitment to continue striving for excellence, inspiring others through our dedication, and honoring the rich legacy of Philippine folk dance for generations to come.
