Joint Inspection Team (JIT)—composed of the 𝗕𝗣𝗟𝗢, 𝗠𝗣𝗗𝗢, 𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗚, 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗧𝗔, 𝗢𝗕𝗢, 𝗣𝗡𝗣, & 𝗕𝗙𝗣—will begin conducting rigorous, multi-agency compliance inspections.

On August 14, 2026, the Joint Inspection Team (JIT) cleared illegal obstructions on sidewalks and warned those who didn't comply. The BPLO also inspected businesses that lacked a mayor's permit or hadn't renewed their business permits.

Business owners and operators were likewise reminded to comply with existing laws and regulations to foster a safe, orderly, and business-friendly environment in the municipality. The inspection underscores the continued commitment of the local government and partner agencies in promoting accountability, public safety, and responsible business operations through strengthened inter-agency coordination.

On July 24, 2026, the Joint Inspection Team (JIT) inspected businesses in Carigara, Leyte that either lack a business permit or have an expired one. The other team inspected illegal vendors on sidewalks, conducted fire safety inspections, and checked for illegal obstructions on sidewalks.
