The committee hearing focused on the proposed establishment of a Centralized Command and Coordination Center through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) for Disaster and Emergency Response in the Municipality of Virac. By working together and sharing resources, expertise, and responsibilities, participating agencies reaffirm their collective commitment to protecting lives, safeguarding communities, and enhancing disaster preparedness. Through unity and partnership, we build a safer and more resilient Virac.

As part of the continuous efforts to improve the safety, security, and operational readiness of Virac Fire Station, the installation of indoor and outdoor Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras has been undertaken within the station premises.

The CCTV system will help strengthen security monitoring, safeguard personnel and equipment, and provide better visibility of activities within and around the fire station. This initiative also supports the stationโ€™s commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and well-organized working environment for both personnel and visitors.

Through continuous improvement and the use of appropriate technology, Virac Fire Station remains committed to providing efficient and reliable fire and emergency services to the community.

The activity aimed to provide meaningful learning experiences for the youth by developing their leadership skills, sense of responsibility, teamwork, preparedness, and active participation in the community. During the activity, the BFP resource speaker discussed essential topics on Fire Safety, Fire Prevention, Emergency Preparedness, and Disaster Risk Reduction, emphasizing the recognition of common fire hazards, preventive measures, proper actions during emergencies, and the importance of preparedness at home, in schools, and within the community.
