Nakakataba o nakakabawas ba ng timbang ang pag-inom ng pills? Ang sabi ni tita: HINDI po!

Ayon sa pag-aaral, safe at weight neutral ang mga contraceptive pills. Ang pagtaas o bawas ng timbang ay normal na nangyayari sa katawan depende sa ating kinakain.

CHRISTMAS EVE MESSAGE
December 24, 2021

The Solemnity of the Birth of our Lord is always a celebration of Hope. Even in this pandemic, the crib in Bethlehem appears before our eyes as a symbol of hope, depicting how Mary and Joseph found a manger where they spent their last night of vigil, awaiting the Birth of Jesus.

Though our celebration of His birth both in churches and our homes this year are tempered by physical distancing and other restrictions brought on by our concern to protect each other from COVID-19, may this year’s celebration be still a testament of hope especially for those who are fragile and powerless during this pandemic.

In these trying times, may our celebration of Christmas allow us to find consolation, lift our heads in hope, and glimpse in deep faith in the Child Jesus. In time, we shall overcome this challenge.

NORTHERN SAMAR POPCOM IN ACTION

POPCOM-Provincial Population Office conducts Educational and Advocacy Campaign to community advocates of Mondragon, Northern Samar, which enhanced partnership to strengthen the Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning (RPFP) & Adolescent and Health Youth Development (AHYD) programs jointly implemented by Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.

This activity was organized by Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) with PROVINCIAL POPULATION OFFICE (PPO) as resource persons.

"RESPONSIBLE PARENTHOOD & FAMILY PLANNING AND ADOLESCENTS HEALTH & YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALAPAG"

Under the re-strengthening of the National Program on Family Planning (NPFP) of President Duterte, Provincial Government of Northern Samar through Provincial Population Office under the flagships of Governor Edwin Marino Ongchuan, "MARIG-ON, MAINUSWAGON, MALIPAYON NGA PAMILYA NORTEHANON" access to the family planning information and services.

The information drive activity aims to help couples/parents exercise responsible parenting to achieve the desired number, timing and spacing of their children to contribute in improving health and nutrition, also to prevent early fregnancies and repeated childbirths among young mothers and protect them from risks and vulnerabilities.

Out of 32 community barangays of Palapag, The PPO teams handled RPFP & AHYD class sessions in 30 barangays in the municipality, and distributed family planning commodities and blood pressure set to every community.

OIC-PPO Mr. Jessie O. Ymata and PPO Staff Personnel would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the genuine support of Board Member Florencio Fawa Batula, Municipal Mayor of Palapag, Hon. Ricardo Batula, LGU Palapag, Barangay Captains, Barangay Officials and Barangay Health Workers for being part of this success activity.
