The Provincial Project Monitoring Committee (PPMC) of Samar successfully completed its First Quarter Field Monitoring and Evaluation on February 26, 2026, visiting key infrastructure projects implemented in the Province of Samar, particularly in Catbalogan City and Motiong.
Led by Yolanda T. Tan, Chairperson of PPMC, the committee assessed the status, progress, and compliance of priority development projects, namely;
1) Philippine Rural Development Project's (PRDP) Improvement/Concreting of Brgy. Maypange-Brgy. Inalad - Brgy. Angyap Farm to Market Road in Motiong, Samar;
2) Site Development for Spark Samar Sports City Project, Brgy. Lagundi, Catbalogan City, Samar;
3) Construction /Maintenance of Flood Mitigation Structure and Drainage System - Construction of Flood Structure, Antiao Bridge IV (Catbalogan Diversion Bridge), Sta. 0+926.31 - Sta. 1+040.00, Brgy. San Andres, Catbalogan City, Samar;
4) Construction / Repair / Rehabilitation of Catbalogan Drainage System at Brgy. Canlapwas;
5) Road Widening of Arteche Boulevard, Construction of Perimeter Fence and Other Improvement Works of Various Government Office Buildings, along Arteche Blvd, Catbalogan City, Samar.
PPMC Member representatives- Municipalities of Matuguinao and Pinabacdao, the Civil Society Organizations, and the PPMC Secretariat joined the monitoring to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective project implementation.
๐ Findings and recommendations from the field monitoring will be consolidated and presented in the next PPMC meeting to guide further action and strengthen project delivery for the people of Samar.
