LOOK ││ IN CONNECTION WITH THE CELEBRATION OF THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY
OF THE 2016 WEST PHILIPPINE SEA (WPS) ARBITRAL AWARD, this Unit joined the Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony at Headquarters, Am******on and Explosives
Center Philippine Navy, Sangley Point, Cavite City on Monday, 06 July 2026.

The activity signifies the Center’s unwavering support for the peaceful and lawful
assertion of the Philippines’ sovereign rights and maritime entitlements under the 2016
Arbitral Award and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). It
also highlights the importance of upholding the rule of law, protecting the nation’s maritime
domain, and fostering patriotism and unity among all personnel.

Following the Flag Raising Ceremony, the unit also conducted the Donning of Ranks of
fifteen (15) newly promoted Seaman Second Class (SN2), recognizing their well-earned
promotion and continued commitment to naval service.

As One Team AEC PN, we remain committed to serving the nation with honor, integrity,
and professionalism while supporting initiatives that promote peace, security, and the
protection of our maritime interests.

Men’s Health Month Celebration CY 2026

As part of the observance of Men’s Health Month Celebration CY 2026, personnel of Naval Am******on and Explosives Center (NAEC) together with Basic Am******on and Explosives Management Course (BAEMC) Class 02-26 students gathered after the conduct of Morning Colors on 01 June 2026.

The activity served as an opportunity to recognize the important role of men in building a disciplined, dependable, and mission-ready organization. It also highlighted the value of taking care of one’s health and maintaining a balanced lifestyle to continuously perform duties effectively.

Likewise, the observance acknowledged the hard work and commitment of the men of Team NAEC, whose daily efforts contribute to the accomplishment of the Center’s mission and the continued delivery of quality service.

NAEC PARTICIPATES IN THE NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS FLAG RAISING CEREMONY IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 128TH PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY

Sangley Point, Cavite City – The Naval Am******on and Explosives Center (NAEC) participated in the nationwide Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony on 12 June 2026 in observance of the 128th Philippine Independence Day.

The activity was conducted in accordance with the nationwide commemoration of Philippine Independence Day and served as a solemn tribute to the sacrifices and heroism of Filipino patriots who secured the nation’s freedom. Through the ceremony, NAEC personnel reaffirmed their commitment to patriotism, national unity, and dedicated public service.

The observance also strengthened institutional pride and esprit de corps among personnel while reinforcing the core values of the Philippine Navy. As one with the nation in celebrating this historic occasion, NAEC remains steadfast in upholding its mandate and in contributing to the preservation of the country’s sovereignty, security, and democratic ideals.

LOOK | EORA CL 09-26 Graduation and Pinning Ceremony.

The Naval Am******on and Explosives Center (NAEC), under the leadership of Commander, NAEC, Capt Jirreh C Castillon PN (GSC), successfully conducted the Graduation and Pinning Ceremony of the Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance Agent (EORA) Class 09-26 on 13 May 2026 (Wednesday).

The ceremony was graced by Capt Steve C Morata PN (GSC) as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, who highlighted the importance of discipline, teamwork, courage, and professionalism in the conduct of EORA and EOD support operations. He also recognized the significant improvement of NAEC Facilities compared to his previous visit, commending the continuous efforts of the unit in enhancing its training environment and operational capability.

Throughout the course, the students were familiarized with different kinds of am******on and explosives, including their characteristics and hazards, while also being equipped with fundamental knowledge and skills in explosive hazard recognition, safety procedures, reporting protocols, and support operations.

NAEC proudly congratulates the graduates of EORA Class 09-26 for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to service.

LOOK | Joint Convening of the Basic Am******on and Explosives Management Course and Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance Agent Course

The Naval Am******on and Explosives Center (NAEC) officially commenced the Joint Convening Ceremony of the Basic Am******on and Explosives Management Course Class 02-26 and the Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance Agent Course Class 09-26 at the Weapons and Am******on Management (WAM) Classroom, Headquarters NAEC, on 04 May 2026.

The ceremony was graced by COMMO Joel R. Tamayo PN, The Quarter Master General, Armed Forces of the Philippines, as the keynote speaker. In his message, he reminded the trainees that the path they are about to take will not be easy—it will challenge them physically, mentally, and professionally. He emphasized that in this field, every action matters. A missed step, ignored protocol, or even a simple shortcut can lead to serious consequences. However, by remaining disciplined and adhering to established procedures, they can prevent accidents, protect lives, and ensure mission success.

More than just the start of a course, the activity marks the beginning of a meaningful journey for the trainees—one that will shape them into capable, responsible, and mission-ready personnel in the field of am******on and explosives management.

IN PHOTOS | NAEC Honors Newly Promoted Officers in a Donning of Ranks Ceremony

Two (2) officers of the Naval Am******on and Explosives Center (NAEC) received their well-deserved promotions during a Donning of Ranks Ceremony held at the AMD Classroom, Headquarters NAEC, Naval Base Heracleo Alano, Sangley Point, Cavite City, on 13 March 2026.

Among the newly promoted officers are the Chief of Staff of the Center, CDR Jeyson F Fulgar PN, and the Staff for Administration and Personnel, LT Prince Joereine N Caballero PN.

The ceremony symbolized not only the recognition of their dedication, competence, and exemplary service, but also the greater responsibilities entrusted to them as leaders of the Philippine Navy.

Their promotion marks another milestone in their naval careers and reflects the Philippine Navy’s continued commitment to developing capable leaders who uphold honor, duty, and professionalism in the service of the nation.

LOOK | Commander, Western Command Pays Farewell Visit to NAEC.

Sangley Point, Cavite City — Vice Admiral Alfonso F Torres Jr PN, Commander of the Western Command (WESCOM), paid his farewell visit to the Headquarters Naval Am******on and Explosives Center (NAEC) on Wednesday, 28 January 2026, at Naval Base Heracleo Alano.

Led by Capt Jirreh C Castillon PN (GSC), the unit rendered Sidebouys Honors to VAdm Alfonso F Torres Jr. PN, in gratitude for his more than 38 years of dedicated service and for inspiring excellence, discipline, and professionalism across all ranks.

During his visit, VAdm Torres Jr personally met with NAEC personnel where he spoke about the importance of commitment, integrity, and selfless service in military life. He also shared meaningful and inspiring experiences from his naval career, encouraging personnel to stay focused and resilient despite the challenges that come with their demanding and high-risk duties.

In his message, VAdm Torres Jr expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the officers and enlisted personnel of NAEC. He also acknowledged the risks they face every day in handling am******on and explosives, and commended the unit’s continued commitment to safety, readiness, and mission accomplishment.

NAEC pays its highest respect in recognition of his leadership and exemplary service, which have left a meaningful mark on the Philippine Navy and the AFP.

LOOK! | Farewell Visit of COMMO DAVID PN

On 26 January 2026, the Naval Am******on and Explosives Center warmly welcomed the visit of Commodore Richard M David PN, Deputy Commander, NETC, together with his wife and daughter. He was received with a warm welcome by Commander NAEC, Capt Jirreh C Castillon, PN (GSC), together with all of the officers aboard, as part of his series of exit engagements in connection with his upcoming retirement.

During the visit, Commo David PN expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the officers and enlisted personnel of NAEC for their unwavering commitment to the Philippine Navy’s mission. He also acknowledged the significant improvements at NAEC and emphasized the notable differences observed since his previous visit.

The visit concluded with a heartfelt farewell and sincere expression of gratitude to the officers and personnel of NAEC for their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the mission of the Philippine Navy.

NAEC extends its deepest gratitude and highest respect to COMMO DAVID PN for his faithful service to the Philippine Navy and the Nation.
