Cebu Provincial Capitol Flag Ceremony

Board Member LingLing Rozgoni joined the honorable members of the 17th Sangguniang Panlalawigan during today’s Flag-Raising Ceremony held at the Cebu Provincial Capitol, marking the beginning of another week dedicated to public service and responsible governance.

The ceremony served as a meaningful reminder of the shared responsibility carried by the province’s leaders in advancing programs and initiatives that uplift the lives of every Cebuano. United in purpose and guided by a commitment to excellence in governance, the gathering reflected the continued dedication of Cebu’s public officials to serve with integrity, accountability, and compassion.

More than a regular Monday tradition, the flag ceremony symbolized a renewed commitment to strengthen unity among government leaders and employees while fostering a culture of service, collaboration, and progress within the Province of Cebu.

TWG Tuesdays!

Led by Board Member Paz Lingling Rozgoni, The Technical Working Group once again met for a meeting on the Rehabilitation and Maintenance of the Legislative Building, led by Board Member Rozgoni. The discussion focused on key plans and collaborative efforts to ensure the proper restoration and continued upkeep of this important government structure.

The meeting was also attended by the Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Atty. Pulchra Marie Aceveda, strengthening the commitment of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to safeguard and maintain the integrity of the Legislative Building for future generations.

Board Member Paz “Lingling” Rozgoni proudly joined the Capitol Sportsfest 2026 alongside Vice Governor Glenn Soco, fellow board members, Capitol Department Heads, and the Cebu Provincial Sports Commission. Top Cebuano Engineer Honored: Engr. Rico Q. Elao Recognized by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan

Rico Q. Elao graced today’s Regular Session as he was formally congratulated by the august body, following the approval of a resolution proposed by Board Member Paz “Lingling” Rozgoni commending the Top Passer from Alegria, Cebu.

Previously sponsored during the April 20, 2026 session by Board Member Rozgoni, together with Board Member Michael Joseph Villamor, the resolution honors Engr. Rico Quiñones Elao of Cebu Technological University – Dumanjug Campus for topping the March 2026 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination.

At just 22 years old, Engr. Elao achieved an outstanding rating of 94.10%. A Magna Cum Laude graduate, turning his passion for mathematics into a remarkable milestone that brings pride, honor, and distinction to the Seventh District and the Province of Cebu.

Engr. Elao received a copy of the approved resolution, along with a cash incentive personally provided by Board Rozgoni in recognition of his outstanding achievement.

His achievement stands as a testament to discipline, perseverance, and excellence—an inspiration to every Cebuano youth striving to reach greater heights.

Board Member Paz “Lingling” Rozgoni graced the opening of Septimo Mercado, a vibrant celebration of the 7th District’s culture, creativity, and community—showcasing the finest delicacies and products of every municipality.

Held at Robinsons Galleria Cebu, the event gathered key leaders and partners in tourism and local development, including the People’s Governor, Governor Pamela Baricuatro, Board Member Nenette Reluya (1st District), Board Member Cesar Baricuatro (7th District) and distinguished mayors from the 7th District: Mayor Chantilli Ann Victoria L. Blanco, Mayor Fritz A. Lastimoso, Mayor Inocentes G. Cabaron, and Mayor Roy Vincent P. Singco, along with Vice Mayor Verna V. Magallon and Hon. Maricar Librando Lumain, Municipal Councilor and Chair of the Committee on Tourism.

Adding color and excitement to the occasion were the candidates of Mister Island Tourism Philippines 2026, together with members of the tourism council and various tourism stakeholders, all united in promoting Cebu’s rich heritage and local pride.

Board Member Rozgoni also delivered the welcome speech that reaffirmed her support for initiatives like Septimo Mercado, that strengthen local industries, empower communities, and highlight the unique identity of every municipality in the 7th District.

Taking a proactive and solutions-driven approach, Board Member Rozgoni led a Technical Working Group (TWG) meeting with representatives from PGSO, Engineering, IT, BM Offices, and Atty. Pulchra Marie E. Acevedo, Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, to address urgent initiatives requiring immediate action.

Key matters discussed included the rehabilitation of fire exits, the transfer of Serbisyo 24/7 to the ground floor for improved accessibility, upgrades to the CCTV power room, and overall network rehabilitation.

The TWG also conducted an ocular inspection of the identified areas of concern to validate findings on-site and ensure that appropriate and timely interventions are carried out.

Strengthening coordination for safer, more efficient, and responsive public service.
