The City Cooperative Development Office (CCDO) and Davao City Cooperative Development Council (DCCDC) officially opened Cooperative Month 2026 with a vibrant Opening Salvo held last October 3, 2026 at Sta. Lucia Mall, Buhangin, Davao City!

The celebration started early as cooperative leaders, members, and advocates united for a lively Foot Parade, filling the streets with solidarity and cooperative spirit. Special thanks to the DMMA College of Southern Philippines Marching Band and Majorettes for bringing energy, rhythm, and color to our parade! 🥁🎺

Following the parade, the community gathered for a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel "B**g" Gonzaga to offer thanks for another year of growth, unity, and resilience.

The morning continued with inspiring welcome remarks from DCCDC Chairperson Eduardo A. Cervantes and messages of support from Ms. Sylveslyn Guillarte (representing CDA Region XI Regional Director Glenn S. Garcia), City Agriculturist's Office OIC Dr. Antonio A. Obsioma, and a video message from Councilor Al Ryan Alejandre. Finally, CCDO OIC Prialyn M. Carpio delivered the message of Mayor Sebastian Duterte before officially declaring Coop Month 2026 open!

Learning and growing together! Last October 1, 2026, the City Cooperative Development Office warmly welcomed 149 coconut farmer cooperative representatives and 18 Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region XIII Extension Office personnel at the Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City.

Through the CDA CFIDP’s COCOFARMCOOP Program, this study visit allowed our Caraga delegates to exchange insights on sustainable cooperative operations, LGU support mechanisms, and best practices in boosting local farmer productivity.

Thank you to CDA Region XIII for choosing Davao City as a venue for learning and collaboration. Here’s to stronger, more resilient coconut farmer cooperatives! 💡💪

Together, we empower cooperatives and transform lives! 🌴✨
