13.6 Million worth of Shabu, seized in Sulu Buy-Bust operation.
Combined elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency BARMM (PDEA BARMM) and Police Regional Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR) arrested on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, a drug peddler and seized 13.6 Million worth of shabu.
Citing reports from PDEA BARMM, the suspect was identified as Yahiya Wadjah Jadjuri, 25 yrs old, married, laborer, and a resident of Bilukan Drive, Kajatian, Indanan, Sulu.
Initial reports revealed that after series of intelligence operations conducted against the suspect who has been impudent in drug peddling in the area, a buy-bust operation was arranged against him and successfully seized two pieces of large transparent heat-sealed sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing more or less two (2) kilograms with an estimated market value amounting to 13.6 million pesos.
After the conduct of the onsite inventory in the presence of the suspect and witnessed by the Brgy. Official of Brgy. Buansa, DOJ, and Media representatives, the suspect was brought to Indanan MPS for temporary detention, while the seized items were brought by the PDEA BARMM for proper disposition.
PDEA BARMM will be filing a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against the suspect.
The Police Regional Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region is sustaining its gains in its campaign against illegal drugs. With the more aggressive operation, PRO BAR has yielded positive results and will continue to do so until this menace is completely eradicated in the region.
