[𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗫 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧] Based on the latest Heat Index Forecast issued by the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST–PAGASA), heat index levels ranging from 39°C to 45°C are expected in some areas of Davao de Oro today.

These fall under the 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 to 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 classifications, where heat cramps and heat exhaustion are possible to likely, while prolonged exposure may increase the risk of heat stroke.

DdOSCians are advised to drink plenty of water, avoid prolonged sun exposure, reduce strenuous outdoor activities, and stay in cool or well-ventilated areas whenever possible.

Watch for signs of heat-related illness such as dizziness, headache, weakness, nausea, or excessive sweating. Seek medical assistance immediately if symptoms become severe.

[𝗣𝗖𝗦𝗔 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲] In the spirit of service that goes beyond the workplace, Davao de Oro State College personnel rolled up their sleeves and took part in a bloodletting activity held today, September 3, 2026, as part of the kickoff activities for the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary 2026.

Spearheaded by the DdOSC Health Services Unit, the activity was conducted in coordination with the Rural Health Unit of Compostela, headed by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Kay L. Rodriguez, to help augment the local blood supply and support patients in need.

A total of 62 faculty and staff members participated in the bloodletting drive, including 36 personnel from the Main Campus and 26 from the Montevista Campus.

Dr. Neil Dompor was also present during the activity and assisted in the screening and bloodletting process to help ensure the safety and proper care of donors.

A staple of the College’s PCSA celebration, the bloodletting activity reflected the institution’s core value of Solidarity, as the DdOSC community came together in a shared act of service to help save lives and support those in need.

Guided by the theme, “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan,” the institutional PCSA 2026 celebration will continue throughout the month and culminate in the college-wide competitions on September 30, 2026.

𝗗𝗱𝗢𝗦𝗖𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗗𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆

From lively club activities in the morning to cowboy hats and western-inspired outfits in the evening, Davao de Oro State College–Main Campus buzzed with life as students gathered for the Club Day and Acquaintance Party 2026 on September 1, 2026, at the DdOSC Main Campus Activity Center.

Organized by the College Student Council (CSC), the back-to-back activities provided students with spaces to discover campus organizations, showcase their creativity, meet fellow DdOSCians, and strengthen their sense of belonging within the College community.

With recognized student clubs bringing their respective identities, advocacies, and activities closer to the student body, the celebration opened with Club Day 2026, anchored on the theme, “Spark Your Potential: Discover, Belong, Become.”

[𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧] As Davao de Oro State College – Main Campus serves as one of the host venues for the 2026 Davao de Oro Provincial Meet, all stakeholders are hereby informed that the Main Campus will observe a Work-from-Home arrangement on September 7–8, 2026.

During this period, all classes will be conducted online, while in-person transactions and frontline services at the Main Campus will be temporarily unavailable.

𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗢𝗨𝗧! Davao de Oro State College recorded a 𝟔𝟒.𝟐𝟗% overall passing rate in the August 2026 Criminologists Licensure Examination, surpassing the 57.56% national passing rate.

The College also posted a 70% passing rate among first-time takers, underscoring the academic preparation and professional training provided by the DdOSC Criminology Department.

DdOSC President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay extends her warmest congratulations to the newly registered criminologists for their hard work, perseverance, and commitment throughout their licensure journey. Furthermore, Dr. Matunhay recognizes the DDOSC Criminology Department for their continued efforts in providing quality instruction and preparing students to meet the standards of the profession.

[𝗣𝗖𝗦𝗔 𝟭𝟮𝟲] This September, the Civil Service Commission leads the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary with the theme, “Puso, Dangal, at Galing para sa Bayan.”

Davao de Oro State College joins the nation in honoring the dedication, integrity, and excellence of civil servants who continue to uphold the values of public service and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

This celebration serves as a reminder of the vital role of government employees in delivering responsive and people-centered service to the Filipino people. It also reaffirms the commitment of every public servant to perform their duties with compassion, professionalism, and integrity.
