Yesterdayโ€™s benchmarking activity of the Municipality of Tulunan at the ESWM Park, Mapawa, Maragusan, served as a valuable platform for the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and innovative environmental initiatives aimed at strengthening and sustaining effective solid waste management programs.

The delegation was headed by Municipal Vice Mayor ๐‡๐จ๐ง. ๐‘๐ก๐ž๐ณ๐š๐ง ๐. ๐Ž๐›๐ซ๐ข๐ช๐ฎ๐ž of the ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ฉ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐“๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ง๐š๐ง, ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‚๐จ๐ญ๐š๐›๐š๐ญ๐จ, together with members of their local government team.

Local Government Unit of Maragusan received the Regional ESWM Model Award from Environment Management Bureau in celebration of the 25th year of RA 9003. The award was personally bestowed by EMB-XI .

The Scoping Session for the LGU Maragusan Sand and Gravel Project was successfully conducted and was attended by representatives from BLGU New Albay and BLGU Poblacion, the affected landowners, and the MLGU through the members of the Municipal Project Review Committee (MPRC).

Information drive for RA 9003 continues successfully in Purok Kurigsaw, Buyo, and Aguacan A, with the presence and support of BLGU Poblacion Committee on Environment Hon. Teresita Sismar. The activity aimed to strengthen community awareness on proper Solid Waste Management practices.
