At the moment: The Local Government Unit of Conner, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Managemrbt Council Chaired by the Municipal Mayor, Atty. Jorico F. Bayaua spearheaded the conduct of the 3-days Basic Incident Command System Training Course in collaboration with the Office of the Civil Defense Cordillera and the CAR - IMTs, July 3-5, 2024 at Sta. Ana Cagayan.

the training aims to capacitate or increase the capacity of the MDRRMC Members, Response Teams, MDRRMO personnel and other stakeholders to Respond to any Disaster or emergency that may occur.

With the latest Press release of DOST-PAGASA, WARM and DRY season begins as Northeast Moonsoon or AMIHAN apparently weakens.

Hence, the public is hereby advised to continue precautionary measures to minimize heat stress and prevent any accompanying health risks associated with this climate condition as follows:

>Follow instructions and advisories from authorized/ competent authorities during emergencies;

>Avoid strenuous and physical activities;

>Monitor the news and authorized government sources for weather updates, El Nino updates, warning and advisories;

> Check and prepare a family disaster preparedness plan;

>Stockpile goods at home; and

>Wear light clothing and stay hydrated.

SNAPSHOTS: MARCH 28, 2024

The Office of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, through the supervision of Mr. Albert W. Bacuyag, MDRRM Officer, manned the operation center as one of the mandate of the Office.

The MDRRMC Operation Center is on blue alert in the observance of this year's Holy week (Semana Santa) and Summer Vacation 2024.

The MDRRMO team lead by Mr. Mark Dexter B. Campos, the Operation and Warning Section Head were deployed to different barangays to conduct coordination and monitoring to BDRRMCs. Further, the team in partnership ⁷with BfpCar Conner also monitored the following areas to conduct warning operations:

1. Suppakan River in Brgy. Cupis, Conner, Apayao

2. Nabuangan River (Lubban Bridge) in Caglayan, Conner, Apayao and

3. Matalag River in Malama, Conner, Apayao

The deployment aimed to provide public assistance, respond promptly to any emergencies, and ensure a safe and peaceful observance of Semana Santa.
