MIPA-BARMM Releases Financial Assistance Under Tawid Pangarap and Fendoyugen Flindagan Programs
June 4, 2026 — The Ministry of Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MIPA-BARMM) formally distributed financial assistance to beneficiaries under its Tawid Pangarap Program and Project Fendoyugen Flindagan Program, reinforcing its commitment to empowering Indigenous Peoples (IPs) through education and sustainable development.
Under the Tawid Pangarap Program, Indigenous students enrolled in Law and Medical courses each received PHP 35,000.00 in educational assistance. The initiative aims to support Indigenous youth in pursuing higher education and completing professional degrees, helping create future Indigenous leaders and professionals within their communities.
Meanwhile, through the Project Fendoyugen Flindagan Program, 50 Indigenous farmers each received PHP 12,000.00 in financial support. The program is designed to strengthen agricultural productivity while promoting climate change mitigation initiatives among Indigenous communities.
These programs reflect MIPA-BARMM’s continuing efforts to provide meaningful opportunities for Indigenous Peoples by investing in education, advancing sustainable agriculture, and building resilient communities across the Bangsamoro region.
MIPA-BARMM emphasized that empowering Indigenous youth and supporting local farmers remain essential steps toward inclusive growth and long-term community development.
